I ordered a product and confirmed with Lawrence (074 777 7459) that it was in stock; their system showed five units available. After waiting more than four days for delivery, I was informed by Raymond (who claims to be the owner - 060 423 4939) that they actually had no stock. Instead, he attempted to sell me a different item I didn’t need. I then requested a refund. Initially, they couldn’t process the refund back to my card, which seemed odd, and instead asked for my bank account details. Even after providing this, I still waited another four days for the refund, despite his promise to process it the same day, which he did not. BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN DEALING WITH THIS COMPANY. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM.
One star is too many !! I am very disappointed with Gadget Hub’s poor service. I placed an order for an item, and after seven days—with numerous unanswered emails and broken promises—I still haven't received it or a proper explanation as to why it hasn’t been shipped. Before making the purchase, I had even confirmed the item’s stock availability and warranty period, which they assured me of. My next step will be to request a refund, and I’ll update on how that goes. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Gadget Hub.
If you are in South Africa, NEVER do business with this company. Even though they are stationed in Durban, ALL items get shipped from China. You can not get hold of a telephone number to speak to them, they never provide a contact name in their email replies. They keep replying with apologetic emails and promises of follow up, which never happen. The couriers that they use (e.g. Buffalo) tracking apps make no sense. You never knew where you parcel is. e.g. YT2408***xx = BUFZA60***x. They refuse to refund you. Don't even try to send back an item I receive my parcel 26 days after ordering. I Tried to make contact with Buffalo courier (3 x wapp, 3 x calls, 2 x emails) After a week, still not one reply. SAVE YOURSELF A LOT OF TROUBLE AND HEADACHE
BE aware that their items is not shipped by National Courier as they mentioned in your shipping info. Instead its shipped from China, and can take ages to arrive at your address in South Africa. Rather find a local distributor. This is what there reply was on my email regarding shipping. " Our shipping policy does state that orders are dispatched from our forwarding warehouse overseas. " I don't find that anywhere on their website or shipping policy
Be very aware to make use of this installer in Riverwood, Pretoria. He refuses to provide invoices for his payments, he does not reply to emails, He left products that another client has paid for at my property with no explanation, and he did not install all the equipment (e.g. the CT coil) as supposed to. So he probably took my equipment for someone else. I requested all the above and explanations thereof via email, and he simply do not reply in any way.
Khama Rhino have good camping sites, but I will not recommend them due to their poor and pathetic admin (By the name Ruth) & account services (Kago & Quin) . My booking was paid almost 3 months in advance, just to be told on arrival I have not paid. I was forced to pay again on departure. Weeks later they admit it was their mistake, and a 45 days later I'm still waiting for my funds to be returned (after numerous promises). Make ABSOLUTELY sure you have a valid proof of payment, especialy when booked through an agent. Kago & Quin (from accounts) simply refused to answer ANY of my emails. The same happen to friends of mine a few months ago. They never got their money back..
I was happy in the beginning (2019) They promised the stars but the service got worse and worse. The owners (jack and Darragh) which are from Ireland is constantly out of the country. They don't reply to mails or complaints. I have contacted their office in George numerous times about bad service, just to be kept waiting. I'm not a business account, but have a small guesthouse and was promised a 1-2 working day response time in case of problems. I have reported my internet down on Wednesday 10:30, and were told they will only be able to attend next week Tuesday..5 working days... I don't think the care anymore. My suggestion is get a local SA company to provide you with service
They are a bunch of thieves... I have placed an order 31/1/2018.
