I am struggling with Old Mutual since November 2024 to revise a policy which they increased with more than 35% without informing me. I counted 15 e-mails I sent to them, 2 phone calls which cost me R120. They refuse to make the changes as asked. I paid this policy for 20 years, and there are absolutely NO SERVICE. The answers they sent me is only lies. They never contacted me, they did not revise the policy and I am struggling for 3 months now. The only reply I received was about someone elses business policy? Please be aware of this company.
Old mutaul increased my policy with more than 35% without sending a notice. They sent an e mail to inform member regarding increase, but not how much. They then state on the e mail member must go to digital platforms as the app to view increase. App does not work, does not open any letters. This way, I had no idea they increased with 30% on top of the annual 5% as stated in my policy. After numerous e mails they send me the increase letter, by which time the increase is allready activated as debit order. Now after 2 months of struggling they still did not down size this policy as asked. The lady at the Old Mutual branch Secuna also did not help, although I went into the office and then called numerous times She did not call back as promised. She stated she normally asks R350 to help customers, and just ignored all my requests. After 20 years of paying a policy , this happens, how are my children going to suffer to get this payout for my funeral if they do not even follow up on requests for 2 months ?
If I can give a 0, I would. This insurance became terrible the last few years. I already put 2 complaints on here, they then ask me to take it down, which I did. My claim was not yet finalised when they send me an e mail to increase my premium with 16%. This knowing full well I am a pensioner as they only cater for older people. I wonder if this is because older people sometimes are not so clued up, or forgetful. I then send an e mail to complain and also remove a few things from my insurance, the pemium went down again. Firstly they asked me a co payment for my vehicle, but I do not have co-payments. Then they added additonal co-payment of 2000 to my household content, when I complained, they cancelled it. Now there are an additonal R3516 on the Integrisure portal against my name, for accidental damage which I did not claim. I sent an e mail, which is not answered yet. I called them, a person Heinrich answered, and let my just say, I have dealed with him previously, he is the most rude agent. Then Rhadia called me and apparantly the R3516 is paid to the assessor? Firstly, I have never in the 9 years with Integrisure seen that the assessor fees is added to my claim amount. You can go back for the 9 years on their app and there was never ever any amount added for their assessors. Is this a new rule, and why does it not state this on my policy? As they are so quick to tell me how much I claimed in the 9 years, they decide to send an assessor, and then claim it against my name.? Also this claim for building was cancelled before the assessor came out. It is absolutely chaos. Secondly, if this is the call out fee for an assessor working for Integrisure,, it is outrageously more expensive than any medical specialist who studied 7-9 years. So I want to encourage people who are unemployed to follow this career where you receive an amount of R3500 for a call out- more than many salaries for an entire month. Please check all your communication/ policies , /app with this insurance. LASTLY: THERE ARE NEVER EVER A SUPERVISER OR MANAGER AVAILABLE. NEVER. THEY ARE ON LEAVE, OR OUT OF OFFICE, OR ANY SUCH EXUSE. Maybe there are no supervisor or manager and this is why the service is so bad. I sent this e mail last night, and did not receive a formal answer yet. I would like in in writing who received the amount of R3516, as this was part of the reason my insurance premium was raised. Extremely bad service. Waited one month, allegedly for parts to arrive. When my insurance company followed up they said I can bring my vehicle, and it will take 7 working days to finish as all the parts are there. After 5 working days I received the first update, started with panelbeating? Wat did they do the previous 4 working days with my vehicle? After 7 days prepped for primer, After 9 working days, in final painting, And then nothing more. No feed back, no collecting. Every day in that workshop cost me money, as I have a car from AVIs. They hardly ever answer the phones.
Waited for more than 4 weeks for this panelbeater to reply after my insurance gave them authorization to repair my vehicle. Minor repairs. They claimed they are waiting for parts. Took my vehicle 9 working days ago. They claimed it will take only a few days, no more than to repair, as they received all the parts. Not finished yeat after 9 working days. Do not answer the phones.
Worst worst experience. Watch out for this company advertising in AFRIKAANS, This is the second time an agent Lindi) calls me who, can not speak or even understand Afrikaans. All my policies from them are in Afrikaans. This means I do not know the terms they use, as I am looking at the policy at my side written in Afrikaans with Afrikaans terminology. This is also the second time they send me e-mail with the factually wrong information, they say totally different "facts" with the call. Which one is correct? E- mail by Nikita Klaaste, call made by Lindi. I deleted the previous review as someone called me, apoligised , but this is an ongoing problem at Integrisure.
Absolute outstanding service. Going the extra mile by obtaining information my insurance did not give correctly. Very professional and willing to explain in detail. Give call backs regarding information. Such a pleasure to deal with.
Absolute poor service from beginning and ongoing. Asks exess in letter when I do not have exess for motor claim. Does not follow up with Panelbeater, waiting nor more than a month for responses. Give wrong information to Avis car hire regarding the vehicle I am covered for on my policy. Communication regarding policy and adverti*****ts in Afrikaans, when calling no Afrikaans speaking agents available. No managers ever available, since May on leave, it is now June 18, When getting frustrated with the POOR service and information they give contrary to my policy, they are rude. By far the worst experience since I started payyin INTEGRSURE 14 years ago. Definately not the same high standards as when they started.
Dis-Chem SECUNDA. Very bad service. Every month a struggle to collect my chronic medicine because of long, long long queues. PHONE to collect, they drop the line every time while asking me to hold. Wait 6 minutes, they drop the line. Phone again, wait 4 minutes, again, they drop the line. Why such bad service in Secunda when the service of Dischem in Gauteng is up to standard?
False advertising. Adverti*****ts of CASH CRUSADERS states We buy gold. Secunda CASH CRUSADERS REFUSES to buy gold earrings if it is not a set. It does not state on their adverti*****t it must be gold sets. It states R160 per gram. But they offer only R100 per gram for 9ct gold. Why the false advertising on their wall then. There are also pictures of earrings on their poster in store, which is not a pair.. When contacting Head office, they also did not know about the buying of gold and how much they pay out? I talked to 3 persons at Head office.
