Paid for product on 3 Jan 2023. Sent bank pop same time. Today drove nearly 300 km to pick it up. Phoned them several times. They said they didnt get pop. Sent it again. They promised will phone back in 10 minute. Did not phone me. I phoned again. Still they did not receive email they alleged. Eventually was too late and i am home now without it. Drove 600 km for nothing.

We are a young up and coming company trying to find our way in the market. We went to the Wadeville branch to get prices, to be told by Kira that the only way we can get prices is to send an email. We have been trying for the past 7 days to make contact with a sales person for a quotation with Protea Chemicals. Yesterday alone we made 11 calls and were passed from the one to the other. Numerous emails have been sent. I have even resorted to trying to make contact with the DG Mr Adriaan De Lange also to find that his PA is not available to pass on a message. People that my manager also tried to speak to and left messages for, without success was Kira, Angelique, Dumi, Lydia and Ingrid, and a message The service is appalling, and yet one would think that such a big company would have better service delivery.

Bad service, this company gives a damn for new customers. I have tried unsuccessfully for a week to have someone answer their phones. Only one person responded to an email. I just wanted to open a COD account and get quotes on chemicals and polymers for a client based in Ethiopia. Sadly I have to look at sourcing from India as this South African company is too proud to do business with small firms.

I have been trying for over a week now to do business with Protea Chemicals in ****arney Gardens. I have sent emails as advised by Wayne but none were answered. I then phoned again to speak to him after which I was disconnected. After phoning back I suddenly reached their mailbox (15h35 in the afternoon). I then phone the Jo'Burg branch where my call is redirected 6 times before having to hold in a queue. I wasted over 14 minutes on the line between the 2 companies. How do you support a company that treats you like that?
