DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO RACETEC
My vehicle went to them for repairs in October 2020, I was told the entire motor had to be rebuilt which was not the case as the issue was not bad at all ! I had to force this guy to do the claim from the Warranty as he was interested in completing the job thr car just stood there and was being stripped to use for other cars! Eventually I got the car back in January 2021 after the motor was apparently redone and after spending R45000 which he was paid! Two weeks later the motor seized up again! The car went back there and stood ahain like it was in a grave yard! I had enough of waiting as it was now February 2021 and I fetched my car abruptly! When I took my car it was literally changed My clutch pedal was taken out, gears was not like they were before the the car was a mess! I had to the spend out my own pocket to fix the car! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO RACETEC, THEY WILL STRIP IT AND TAKE YOUR GOOD PARTS AND TRADE IT IN FOR OLD PARTS ! THEIVES I WANT MY MONEY BACK !!!!!

Terrible service and shocking customer interaction.
I have had 2 racetec boards, but the first one got lost. I queried this at a race in 2018 and apparently it was corrected there. This past weekend I was at a race querying my racetec number as my ‘entry number’ once again differed from my ‘board number’ and I asked for them to please delete the old number as the board is lost and it creates confusion every time I receive an entry with the old number on it. I was told that this is impossible to delete and it will stay on my profile forever...if true, what a poor system! ...and I must say, racetec can definitely try to improve their staff’s bedside manners! Later that day I was concerned about a fellow rider and upon (very nicely) asking the same Racetec lady if she could please tell me if the rider finished, she rudely told me this is not a monitoring system and she is not able to tell me. I went to the organisers of the race with the same query. They assisted me with information they got from Racetec..., yes you read correctly. I am at a lost for words. How can such a well known organisation treat people so poorly? Do they have the monopoly? Or is it just plain poor service. Rediculous.

Racetec poor workmanship
Racetec Motorsport Cape Town very poor service and never ever again! 5 people including me that i know had very bad experience.They dont worry about other People's cars as they don't even put brackets, covers and wiring on its original place.Can't do proper work and have to do same thing over 4 times where customer needs to make arrangements for their poor workmanship.Owner is full of lies and empty promises just to get the job that they can't even deliver properly.Work is very poor and tells you they changed stuff and charge you but was never replaced! Had my cam follower replaced and ended up breaking just there after and damaged a few stuff!! Racetec worst workmanship and just lies and lies and more lies!!!

Fraudulent. Useful as a plank.
On 26 Feb 2019, I attempted to enter the Karoo 2 Coast cycle race using the online website provided by Racetec. I completed my details and when I submitted payment details their system failed saying that they received a response that they could not handle. I called Racetec immediately to ask what was going on since the system had now completely locked my entry saying that nothing can be done until the payment has succeeded or failed (which in this case their system had failed). I was told that the problem is with my bank. I contacted my bank and received confirmation of the payment. I have since contacted Racetec 4 times telephonically and each time they asked for proof of payment which I sent - including a letter confirming it from my bank. I receive no feedback at all from Racetec despite them taking my cell number and having my email address. they do not even have reference numbers for calls made to their call centre so it can only be chaos there. The money has left my credit card account and Racetec claim that they have not received it because their system shows an error. It is now 13 March and my bank says that the way to resolve this is to launch a fraud dispute against Racetec (which I am now doing). May this be a warning to all runners and cyclists who are forced to enter races via these charlatans.

Pay for a service I dont receive!
So I pay R150 for a Racetec timing chip to which I found out that they didnt even capture my race results. I pay to get my RESULTS and now im informed that they didnt time my race. What was the point of my purchase then? Bear in mind this affects any seeding for future races that I enter. Thank Racetec for not doing your job!

Rubbish two oceans app
The tracking app made for two oceans is a catastrophic failure,<br> An absolute piece of rubbish. They say you can track your runner.<br> However you get an sms from your person in the stadium before the app<br> Gives you any details.<br> Total piece of rubbish.<br> <br>

passing the buck
Hi I have entered a few cycling races, whereafter i want to see my time raced, Now i get informed that although i bought my racing chip from RACETEC, PPA forbids RACETEC to give me my time on any of my events?
