28 November 2024: I purchased a Hisense fridge via Takelot and had it delivered to our vacation home for December. 2 December 2024: Delivered by Takelot. 22 December 2024: We opened our fridge with much excitement, only to find a dent on the door, which was quite surprising as the packing was in tact. On the same day I reported it to Takelot and they referred me to Hisense. On the same day I reported it to Hisense. 15 January 2025: I received a response from Hisense, requesting information. I could only supply part of the info as I was back home from our vacation home. 25 January 2025: (10 days later) I received the same request from Hisense and they indicated they cannot open my photos. I responded once again. 27 January 2025: Hisense requested my pictures in PDF format and the number of the ticket I logged (this was all still the same email trail). I responded once again. 18 February 2025: (22 days later) I received a response from Hisense indicating that all dents and scratches should be reported within 7 days from the date of purchase. So I failed to report my extremely likely factory damaged fridge within 7 days of purchase, but Hisense can take as long as 58 days, ok lets disregard 22 Dec-15 Jan, Hisense can take as long as 34 days to respond to a simple query. To me, this sounds more of excuses not to provide customer service than anything else. Don’t let the 60 month warranty fool you.
Import duties more than double their competition. Absolute no response on email / customer support.
What a joke! Prices are nice and affordable, but as soon as you need support, you either have poor customer service agent responding to you or it is AI. So dissatisfied.
Most of my latest orders were falsely advertised. I even ordered the same item as on my history and it is still completely different. Apart from time wasting, it is ok as you can always return it, but at some point this becomes a hassle if you net get what you ordered…you cannot keep on asking for a replacement indefinitely. Recently I received only part of the bundle that was advertised (the main item was included). I informed Takelot that I cannot return my item as this forms part of a gift box and returning will not be in time. I am however not satisfied with the amount I paid compared to the price as 2 of the 4 items were missing. Now I keep on getting the same repeated messages “unfortunately we cannot assist if you do not return the items”. This is poor service.
I cancelled my ADT contract due to poor service from their side, but they gave my name to debt collectors for a cancellation fee...shocking. I have multiple email communication to them where I explained my dissatisfaction, but they just ignored my concerns and raised a cancellation fee. Nobody was willing to listen. Poor customer service. Reason for my cancellation back in 2018: I reported a suspicious vehicle at my house to the control room and did not get feedback. I had to phone 20-30 min later to check up again. Also the feedback from the control room and sector vehicle is totally different. But what is really disturbing is the words from the lady at the control room when I asked whether they confronted the people in the car at my house. Apparently they cannot just stop anyone because they can also get shot. Seriously? This is not the answer I would like to hear from an armed response company who is suppose to protect me and my house.
Mr Price Online has the WORST service! I placed an order online for Click and Collect at a branch. When I visited the branch after the due date online, they indicated that they could not find it and the call centre cannot find it either. I then requested feedback via e-mail whereafter I received an email to say that the ticket has been resolved, but it was not. This happened twice and still no resolution. On my third request, I was informed that the order was cancelled by Mr Price Home. That was it! Not, "Apologies for the inconvenience, we will re-order and ensure it gets delivered to your home", just: "Your order has been cancelled" fullstop. Ridiculous.

Do not make the same mistake as I did to choose this company. If you cannot afford the more expensive quote, rather save up, BUT DO NOT USE THEM!
I have a 2018 1.0 Polo with only 35 000 km on the clock and already had a blown fan resistor. As we speak, my car is in for its 4-yearly service and I have a leaking water pump. Out of warranty and cost amounts to around R10 000. I have quite a bit of experience with cars over the years and this is just utter poor quality. What a bad name for Volkswagen.
