We celebrated my birthday on the 28th July 2017 at Ramkietjie. The service was slow. The Buffet lunch was R175pp and absolutely horrific. I sent an email to complain and never got a response. What a sad situation. Many years ago it used to be a lovely venue. Today the kids area seems lovely but the food is terrible. The meat consist of bones and fat. With a price tag of R175 I would expect lamb beef and pork roast as options. The veg and salad on offer were pathetic too. All I can say is I will never go there again.

<p>This was the worse lunch experience ever. We had our company year-end lunch booked at the restaurant. When we arrived nobody knew where we were booked. In number order our experience:</p> <p>1. We were seated outside - when it started to rain heavily Ramkiki staff did not want to move us inside because in their words the storm will not last long. It was still raining when we left nearly 4 hours later.<br />2. We were eventually moved into the function venue - all on our own to a table without a tablecloth. No music, no ambiance...nada!!<br />3. We waited forever for the waiter to take our orders and ever longer for the starters to arrive.<br />4. We waited nearly an hour for our main course to arrive. When we eventually received our food the Sole was Hake and so dry it was inedible. The Medium Fillet steak was ice cold and the pepper sauce was disgusting. Tasted like peppercorns mixed with milk. Then when we complained they heated the medium steak in a microwave for 3 minutes ensuring it was ruined forever.<br />5. The waiter was not able to open a bottle of red wine properly and then proceeded the spill red wine all over the tablecloth (that we received 10 minutes after we were move inside) whilst pouring wine into our glasses.<br />6. For dessert most staff ordered the apple crumble. Another failure on the restaurants side. It was dry and not a crumble in sight. Layers of very tough filo (I think??). <br />7. Then we had to pay and had to run in the pouring rain to our cars - not umbrellas was even offered to get us to the cars which is quite a way from the entrance. We arrived at or cars soaking wet.<br />Our conclusion... We will never visit again.<br />The staff of the CTFA.</p>

<p>It was my brother's wedding this past weekend and we received the worst treatment from this venue.Firstly the place was booked from 2 pm - 12 am but we were asked to switch off the music by 9pm because of some racist guy who just wanted us to leave the place whereas on the other side there was a party happening until midnight.Secondly police were called because we were demanding a refund of the other hours and the police were told that there was a robbery in the Venue.There hospitality was appalling as we wanted to enjoy ourselves as much as the other guys did.The owner needs to call my brother and refund him his money.We were treated like animals.</p>

We run a laundry service which was requested by the management of Ramkietjie for their banqueting laundry. It was agreed upon that we pick up on Mondays and deliver on Wednesdays. During December the functions picked up and we were picking up and delivering on a more regular basis. In the beginning of December we were paid regularly by cash and then as we got to plus minus the middle of December we were told by the then management Nathan and Chantal that we will be paid by the owner via EFT who was having a holiday in Spain. This never happened and once the owner returned we were still not paid and till today there is still an outstanding amount of R17250.

I am based on the USA. I have been inquiring about wedding info and mostly pictures of their halls because I cannot be there in person and they have none on their website. I have spoken to about 3 of their coordinators and till today. No one has been able to email me pics of their hall. When you call them to ask, they non apologetic. I have sent multiple emails and the last few ones where ignored. It took a week to even get a first response from them. What a shame because it is a beautiful facility and the staff is costing the owner money because they cannot run a business and do not know what customer service is. Shame on you.

I am based on the USA. I have been inquiring about wedding info and mostly pictures of their halls because I cannot be there in person and they have none on their website. We had our wedding recently at Ramkietjie, beautiful venue but bad service. With all the hard planning at the venue prior to the wedding, it didn't filter through on the wedding day. We were told to pay the full cost of venue and food before the wedding which we had done and somehow the service and attitude of the wedding planner changed. He seemed less interested following through with the plans on the wedding day. The lack of communication from management to their staff members became an embarrassment to myself and my husband, the state of the bathrooms wasn't kept clean , the visibility of the waiters, the guest paying for the their own drinks when we had a tab running. Worst of all the vegetarian starter we requested as most of our guest were vegetarian was changed to meat and the mains were completely tasteless and watered down. The food tasting we had a week before the wedding went off well but the food on the wedding day was a complete disappointment. Management didn't even apologies for the mishaps. If they had apologised I wouldn't have made a big deal about all the mishaps and their attitude. And as I said lovely venue but please improve on your services.

I went to Ramkietjie on the 8th of March 2015 to view the venue for a wedding ceremony. The lady who works there, Debbie, agreed to send me a quotation for venue hire for 100 guests as well as menu prices. I expected to get the quote within a week or so. It is now the 14th of April, a month later and I have not received anything. I have called her more than 4 times and each time there is a story about why the quote is not ready. First it was problems with the internet, then it was that she forgot my email address, then yesterday she claimed to have sent the email to [Email Removed] (this does not even exist!!!). To top everything off, I called again today and I have been told that she left Ramkietji this morning together with the chef!!!! BEWARE OF CROOKS!!!

I went to Ramkietjie on the 8th of March 2015 to view the venue for a wedding ceremony. It is now the 14th of April, a month later and I have not received anything. I have called her more than 4 times and each time there is a story about why the quote is not ready. To top everything off, I called again today and I have been told that she left Ramkietji this morning together with the chef!!!! BEWARE OF CROOKS!!!
