I had an excellent experience with Renew-It Panelbeaters in Sandton. From the moment my car went in for repairs, the team kept me informed every step of the way. Their communication was consistent, professional, and reassuring throughout the entire process. What really stood out was the regular updates on the progress of the repair. I never had to chase them for information—they made sure I always knew what was happening with my vehicle, which made a stressful situation so much easier to deal with. The workmanship was also top quality, and my car was returned looking as good as new. It’s clear that they take pride in both their work and their customer service. Thank you to the Renew-It Sandton team for the professionalism, transparency, and excellent service. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing reliable and trustworthy panel beating services. A special thanks to vanca👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾

Our Insurance, Miway uses Renew-It Sandton, so we took it there to repair my car after our accident in December. We are now in the fourth week without my vehicle and only now are we being told it will “hopefully” be ready for collection on Friday. This is completely unacceptable. Initially, we were told the repairs would take one week. When my husband dropped the car off, the timeline changed to 10 working days — which is already two weeks, not one. That should have been our first red flag. They also emailed my husband the wrong address! It was their previous address, so my husband ended up driving around unnecessarily because of their incompetence! After a week, we were informed that additional frame damage had been found and a part needed to be ordered. It then took two days for Miway to approve a pirate part. The panelbeaters were unable to source that part, so a new claim was submitted for an after-sales Ford part — which took another two days for approval. By the time the correct part finally arrived (last Monday afternoon), the panelbeaters had already had my car for two full weeks. Today’s update? They had a meeting about getting my car finished. A meeting? At this point, action — not meetings — is what’s required. We are now being told the car will be ready on Friday. After four weeks. This level of service from both MiWay and Renew-It is extremely disappointing and infuriating. My husband has communicated our frustration to both parties, yet there seems to be no urgency and no accountability.

My experience with Renew-It Randburg and Sandton has been nothing short of unacceptable. What started as a simple repair turned into a six-month nightmare of poor workmanship, broken promises, and repeated damage to my vehicle. Despite giving both branches multiple opportunities to correct their mistakes, my car was returned each time with unresolved defects, obvious paint colour mismatches, and eventually additional damage that was not there before. The vehicle was ultimately in worse condition than when I originally handed it in. Communication was poor, accountability was non-existent, and management avoided taking responsibility. Each visit required me to take time off work, only to be met with new excuses and further problems. I was made to feel like the inconvenience was mine to carry, despite Renew-It being the sole cause. An independent assessor later inspected my vehicle and was visibly shocked by the standard of workmanship. My insurer has now approved that the vehicle be removed from Renew-It entirely and repaired elsewhere — which speaks volumes. I would strongly warn anyone against trusting Renew-It Randburg or Sandton with their vehicle. My experience reflects a serious lack of professionalism, quality control, and respect for customers. If you value your car, your time, and your sanity — look elsewhere.

Very bad treatment from Giselle Smit the customer relations manager. She confirmed repair and completion of my car but when I came to collect it, it was not ready. She denied having sent that communication and refused to pay my refund for unnecessary Uber trips. They also damaged my door handle cover and are now dodging to replace it. They recalled all emails confirming this. But I’ve retrieved them all.

I was in a car accident in March, and my car was taken to Renewit Sandton. The insurance paid their part, but I still had to pay a R35,000 excess, which was really difficult since I had just come back from maternity leave. I was stressed, broke, and honestly didn’t think my car would ever look the same again. Then an angel named Sofie reached out, explained everything clearly, and even helped me set up a payment plan. Throughout the process, Sofie and Tia were incredibly kind and supportive — never once did they threaten or pressure me, even when I struggled to make payments. They always encouraged me and kept me updated about my car. After seven long months, I finally collected my car yesterday — and I cried when I saw it. It looked brand new, even better than I expected! I’m so grateful to Sofie, Tia, and the Renewit Sandton team for their patience, understanding, and excellent work. Thank you also to the manager, who helped when I needed more time to raise funds. You all went above and beyond. 🙏 THANK YOU, RENEWIT SANDTON! You turned a stressful experience into something I’ll always be grateful for. ❤️

I fetched the Rav yesterday 28 April 2025 and the repair and paint job was done well however the right hand side tail lights seem smoked up and contamination inside when I did inspection to pick up the vehicle and a slow puncture on rear left tyre. I showed this to Softleen show said it will go away when I park in the sun.The misty tailights has actually got worse. I informed Carmella and copied in the Director. Directors PA called 5 months ago informing they will attend to it.I told the directors PA to send an email but she never did then ignored me till present. I left the Rav in direct sunlight for more than 6 months but water and contamination marks inside the tail lights are still evident and not fading away as requested by the lady at Renew It (Softleen).Maybe different for other cars as these lights are LEDs. The taillights will either have to fixed somehow or be replaced as part of this accident claim. We need to make sure the assessor understands that this is not betterment in any way. I sent pictures immediately of the damages and did so for months but have been ignored. I was forced to pay the R5000 excess to Old mutual event though I was stationary at Red traffic light when the other vehicle bumped into the side of my vehicle .I am now exposing the Renew It Sandton Director so the CEO and other Execs can step in and resolve this ignorance and bad attitude to hide from resolving issues and hope the customer gets frustrated and go away. I am willing to fight for what's right and next step is Tik Tok and Facebook exposure then Ombudsman if I am ignored further and if the damages not rectified.
