It was the worst experience I could have asked for. The Keep your deposit for no reason, they charge you what ever they feel like for water and electricity and upon inspections, they ensure that they write the worst review they can think of to ensure they keep your deposit. They claimed that some of our personal items needs to remain in the house, as it belongs to the owner and upon requesting it back, they use lawyers that are just as ******* as they are to make sure you dont get your property back. They **** you out of your money, that you were so willing to give as deposit. I would recommend people steer as far away as possible from these guys, as you will only loose what you have worked so hard to build up.

I submitted all my documents for my deposit to be refunded last week and up until today nothing has been paid to my account. I then decided to call them today only to be told that the lady who does recons is on leave! What makes things worse is I spoke to the same lady last week a d she never mentioned anything to me about going on leave and her email doesn't have auto response 😕 This is the West rand office.

RentalsDotCom Ballito is the absolute worst rental agency you can ever use. I rented a unit from them on a 12 Month lease, for the duration of that 12 months my agent was practically unreachable. She was basically nonexistent, few months down the light the lights in the apartment tripped and the main switch kept tripping, we had to jump through hoops just to get an electrician to come fix it .. That was when the decision to move and never look back came about .. When it was time to move, we spent 6-8 weeks requesting the paint code for the apartment to ensure that everything is put back the way it originally was - to no surprise once again there was no paint code received, and the agent told us to leave the unit as is during our exit inspection .. 3 days later they had miraculously found the paint code and now want to bill us after stating that we can leave the unit as it .. RENTALSDOTCOM is a sorry excuse of a rental agency, they do not care for the wellbeing of the tenants as they don’t see us as the clients (as stated by their employee)

They do not deserve even this 1 star. In Vanderbijlpark I rented a place for 5 Months (Jan - May 2023). I paid the deposit n every month my rent was paid in time. I did put a month's notice as expected! Did I receive my deposit money?? NO!! It has been a 1 year and 6 months now but they never paid me my deposit! Every time I ask about my money they send me from pillar to post. The agent lady by the name of Cheynee would respond to me but at times she will give me the numbers to contact (Abby, Mario, Simone) and none of them will have a proper answer (if they did respond). What ****es me off is that on 17th of Oct 2024 Cheynee sent me the forms to sign n send back to her, I did that. But still I didn't receive my money, they would keep quiet about it n only communicate once I contact them! Last week a lady from the management by the name of Lynne Spruit promised me that they have escalated my case n I will receive the money this week, but until today I haven't received the money from them!!!

We have been renting with them more than 5 + years .. one time the supply of electricity was changed to Iwsitch .This month it was changing to Alpha metering.. The owner and the agency don't want to apply for the changeover..its been 19 days...they are giving us the run around .1minute the agency say they are not aware,next thing the say the owner sent the documents to alpha metering .

This Agency does not even deserve 1 star. here is my storie. We moved into a property with them on 1 October 2022. in the first year the water statement was good but the service when something had to be fixed was horrible. but in the second year our water meter was leaking i then reported it this was in February by April they finally came to replace the water meter since february until October 2024 they overcharged me with R27000 in water now because i uncovered the truth they are ignoring me in refunding my money. Stay away from them the new name for RentalsDotCom is now Property Plus the are the worst agency ever

This Agency does not even deserve 1 star. here is my storie. This rental company doesn't even deserve 1 star. My husband and I signed a lease agreement with this company and paid forward all monies required as per the agreement and deposits due. We vacated the unit and proceeded with the exit inspection, which came back clear. Once an exit inspection is done, all deposits and monies due to be returned gets processed and reimbursed to the tenant. Not with this company. It's been well over 6 months ago that we vacated the unit and the sorry excuse of a rental company. They keep telling us that the previous CEO left with all the money and they can't help us right now. Many people will call this *******. What does the previous CEO have to do with the monies tenants have paid into the companies bank account? So that would easily say that NEW TENANTS that sign with them WILL most Definitely lose their deposits and be told the same story because where are their monies going to. If not to pay back people who rightfully should be paid back THEIR own money. I advise people not to sign with them. It's a shame that we had to take a loan to pay for the new rental place we had to get. I feel ****** and hurt. South Africa is not the same. Businesses like this get away with too much. Please be aware and take our advice or not. It's up to you.
