SDL has been closed but the underwiter Pioneer Funeral Adminsitrators has not shared their details with the policy holders. Their FSP no is 41507. Given the time of crisis usually when people are looking to access/benefit form a policy they have been paying for for many years, the web sites and correspondence with customers should be clear.

We manage to relocate the company and payout was made fast , thank-you for that. But I'm concerned because they are governed by different name of the company they did not update the customers. Their contacts aren't known by the customers.

On 17 July 2021 I have send an email to clientservices@sdl.co.za enquiring about benefits as my husband is a SDL member since 2011. There is a monthly payment deducted from our bank account and we would like to know what is covered. Unfortunately we no longer in possession of SDL documents therefore the query. Up to date I did not receive any reply. The cell phone number on the website belongs to a person that is no longer part of SDL and there is no answer at the Cape Town land line. On 16 August 2021 I have send a message on FB to SDL with no avail. This is pathetic service. You doesn't deserve any stars!

Just before 2010, I was introduced to SDL in Parow. I was told by the company representatives that I could join a hospital plan scheme where a specific amount of money would be paid into my bank account for every day that I would spend in hospital, as a booked in patient, for more than seven days. It was a good plan and I signed up for it. On later inquiries, I was told that it was not the case and that I wasn't contributing to that hospital plan at all. This is a totally bad business practice as I was mislead to join some other plan, under false pretenses. How many other people haven't been mislead by this trickery in this business.
