I am dissapointed in the place, their are no cleaning staff. Was on the camping site for 5 days nobody came to empty dustbines or the braai even once. To get in and out of the resort is a mission nobody manning the entrance, you do not get a fob or any thing the open the gate yourself. The poor guy that work the gate is all over the place and takes time for him to notes if a car is at the gate. When we arrived we notifeid them that the bathroom has no working light nothing was done you have to shower with a flashlight or early in the afternoon while you have little light coming through the window.

The worst / horrible experience The place is so so dirty, it`s a *** style. The linen is so so dirty, the sheets are now turned grey. We could not even sleep a wink because of insects, spiders, flying ****roaches, crickets are all over the place. the carpets on the floor are so dirty. the place is horrible. I would not recommend it to any human. at check in time our room was not prepared ,we were told to wait for renovations to finish at 19:00. then the smell of new paint was unpleasant.

The lodge fell far below our expectations, as it appeared to lack basic upkeep and adequate amenities. The rooms were cramped and poorly equipped - for instance, the TV was an outdated small square monitor mounted on the wall, while the dishes were kept in a flimsy plastic basket that was hardly suitable for dining in. The bedding looked old and worn, with the duvet inner not even fitting the casing properly. To make matters worse, there was no cellphone or wifi signal within the rooms, and the neighbours were blasting their music at a deafening volume. As the lodge was located near a road, the noise from passing cars only added to the discomfort. Essentially, this place did not offer the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere that one seeks when trying to escape the city. We stayed for only one night and were eager to leave the next morning. Low class Replying to the owners comment: It appears that certain individuals and locations may hold lower expectations. Our recent weekend getaway was not due to a lack of financial resources, but rather, it was graciously gifted to us. Please do not be narrow-minded in assuming that we are incapable of affording our own high-end retreats. In fact, we are fortunate enough to have the means to indulge in luxurious and upscale destinations. Moreover, if there are individuals who are unable to finance such endeavors, it may be because of the subpar and inexpensive amenities offered at your lodge. When my husband finally managed to get a one bar signal on his phone, he attempted to contact you regarding the noise disturbance but was advised to wait it out. With regards to going through a tough time, it rather seems that your lodge is the one facing difficulties and going through a hard time. Rather than criticizing your clients on things you sucked out your thumb and know nothing about, it may be more beneficial to consider their feedback and use it to improve your lodge.

This was by far the worst experience I have had in a long time. They advertise that it's a nice quiet place and no loud music after dark but they allow groups of people to come and stay there who party till 2am with loud music and profanity. Our first night was met with little sleep due to a group of young guys swearing and partying till late. Then a rooster woke us up at 3.30am.Tje second night was met with yet another group that had a party with loud music and shouting till 1 am. I had booked a massage at the supposed spa for the 2 of us but that never happened as they didn't seem to know what they were doing and got everything mixed up. This is by far the most unorganised resort I have ever been to and will never go there again.

On the 24/12/2017 I booked in at Shangrila Innibos at hartbee****rt Dam, together with my family. We occupied 3 rooms in total. I was charged for Bed and Breakfast for the period until 26/12/2017. We were also charged for a Breakage deposit of R300.00 per room, which would be refunded. On our arrival we were informed by the owner that we were not entitled to the breakfasts as charged. On our departure I had to provide them with my banking details for the breakage deposit refund. I was once again informed that I was not charged for this. This is not true as I have a quote and receipts stating that I di make these payments. The owner refuses to compensate me for the breakfast that I was charged for and she also refuses to repay my breakage deposit. All items that were in the room and in the kitchen were left undamaged. The amount charged including an extra nights stay was: R5660.00. Breakage deposit of R900.00 must come off this amount plus an amount for breakfasts charged for but never received for 6 people at R65,00 per head for 3 mornings totals R1170.00 The total amount to be refunded is as follows: R2070.00. This is based on the amount indicated on the tax invoice and the cost per breakfast as received from Lynette.
