A booking was made and paid for as a birthday gift, vouchers were received and when the party arrived in Cape Town, I tried call, emailing, left messages on their website to book a day for the actual dive.... the phone is permanently on voicemail, (although it says 24/7) no responses to my email and messages, they are only here for a short while and it looks like they will not get their dive. I find this disgusting that a business like this is allowed to operate and scam unsuspecting foreigners out of cash. Their sites should be taken down. I urge anyone NOT to do a booking with them.

A 100% cancellation fee was approved on 10 Dec 2017. I had to phone on Tues 12 Dec to find out where my refund was. I was told it takes 10 days to refund a credit card payment (never heard of a credit card refund taking so long before). 12 days later I am still waiting and getting no response. Do not deal with this crowd.

SharkQuest-please don't turn this into a travel HORROR EXPEREINCE! We reserved an Africa's Big 7 Package and pre-paid as instructed. Transfer fees from airport to safari were included. Upon checkout, a charge of R2500 was added to my account because of an oversight by SharkQuest. This charge still has not been credited back to my credit card. a SHARK TRIP and a SEAL TSCUBA RIP were cancelled by the company . Payment for those 2 cancelled trips have not been credited back to our accounts. I have made several request for credit. Now SHARQUEST IS TOTALLY IGNORING US. Don't get RIPPED OFF!!!

I am South African, and my boyfriend is coming to South Africa for the first time. I went ahead and started planning the perfect holiday for us and for him to get an opportunity to see all our country has to offer.

The one thing on his list was a Shark cage dive in Gaansbaai, Western Cape.

So I booked a shark cage diving day with;
SHARK QUESTS http://www.sharkquests.com

On the 12th of July stumbled on their site. At first, their site looks legitimate and professional. They were offering a 25% discount if you confirm and pay by that 12 July 2017. I thought i was lucky but in hind sight it was just a ploy to get my money.

When you book, you have the option to pay a deposit or the full amount. I put my credit card details in and selected to pay the deposit. I received an email saying my order was still pending and I should wait for someone to confirm my order. The next day I saw they had taken the full amount off my credit card and I had heard nothing. I emailed them to inquire about the situation and received no response. I then decided to call. The one number does not exist and the other keeps ringing. I decided to go online and see if I could find Reviews. Everyone complained about the same thing and no one has actually gone on the dive with them. I was lucky to get a full refund from my credit card and figure it out in time. Most of the people who complained were foreigners and some of them only found out on the day that no one was coming to take them on a dive. I am so embarrassed and disappointed for all of them. It looks terrible on South African tourism.

How are they getting away with this?

I did a little more research, their deal on the site changes every day. If you go on the site on the 6th of August, the deals ends on the 6th of August.

I also found out that SHARK LADY works with them and has terrible reviews too. Is there a way to investigate this and stop it from happening. There are many more reputable shark cage diving companies that deserve this business that they are falsely stealing.

Please see links and information about there site!

http://www.sharkquests.com/one-day-trips

Shark Quests
Postal Address: Postnet Suite 1024, Private Bag X2, Century City, 7446
Tel: (021) **********

So I booked a shark cage dive through a company in Cape Town called Shark Quests. They also go by the name of Go Shark Diving. The dive couldn't happen due to no shark activity. I told them I didn't know when I would be able to go again and requested a refund. I said that I would then book again when I had time. This was over a month ago. I have sent countless emails and tried to phone, but nobody gets back to me. This is my last attempt to get a reaction and refund out of them. Until that happens, I just want to let u all know that I wouldn't recommend this company at all. I have also been onto Trip Advisor where there are countless reviews about them being a scam!

Nobody came to pick us up at the given time (informed via writing - email). The company said a refund would be in order (in writing). After that point, we heard absolutely nothing. They conveniently started to ignore us after no refund was received, and we followed up 5 separate times. I ended up disputing it with my credit card company. I was given the money back by my credit card company but I'm not sure if they pursued legal action with Shark Quests.

I would strongly advise against using this broker for booking any shark diving. You have been warned.

However, if you enjoy sitting on the curb for 4 hours and having a whole day of your trip wasted, by all means book through Shark Quests.
