I bought 2 pairs of shoes on the 2nd of September 2017 which one of the pairs broke in the period of +- 1 month and I then went back to return it in order for them to fix it, as I really loved the pair of shoes and I just wanted it to repaired. The shoes then came back from the repair on the 3rd of October and it was still not fixed properly because it broke again that very same day it came back from repairs. The next day I went back to the store with the broken shoe and spoke to one of the sales ladies and she told me that she will talk about this with the big boss and I left the pair of shoes at the store. The same day the store owner came to my workplace and insulted me and said, I quote, "The problem is not with the shoes, it's either you walk skew in order for the glue to come loose or the real problem is your weight". I told him that he does not have the right to insult me like that because I am his client, and the shoes that I bought was close to R400. He refused to exchange or refund me, he told me he will repair it for the last time and that I must not bother him anymore about the shoes. I went to his store and read the code of conduct and it clearly states that shoes can be returned within the period of 6months and it will either be refunded or exchanged. I told him that I read his code of conduct and he told me that he has his own rules. I as client feel that I will not leave this issue unless he refunds me or exchanges my pair of shoes and I expect an apology for the way he spoke to me. I am deeply disappointed in the way he handled the situation and I hate the way he spoke to me and insulted me in front of my colleagues. He was very rude and unprofessional and it is completely unacceptable. Kind Regards Victoria

I would like to commend Shoeperama and in particular one of their area supervisors - Beverley Munien - on the excellent service I received upon reaching out to them for help.<br> <br> Not only did Beverley answer my email query within an hour of sending it but with diligent perseverance she managed to track down the shoes (please note that these shoes are no longer manufactured) I was so desperate to find.<br> <br> Once again Bev, my sincere thank you for all the trouble you went to and the pleasant way in which you replied to all my emails

I purchased a pair of UrbanArt boots from the Springfield branch and was told that if I do happen to have a problem I should bring in the pair of boots and it will be replaced or I will be refunded, whichever I choose to take. Less than 2 months after purchasing the pair of boots, the sole is worn out on the heel of both (poor quality perhaps) and when I go in to do an exchange I am told that someone will view the boots and get back to me tomorrow and let me know whether I qualify for a replacement. That is very unfair as when I decided to purchase the shoe I did not take it home and then decide whether I am going to buy it or not. According to the Consumer Protection Act if an item is defective then within 6 months of date of purchase the consumer has the right to have the item replaced/refunded/repaired.
