The inner glass of our brand new Siemens oven exploded one night. The oven was not in use, the whole family was already in bed and there was a loud pop and falling glass. The after sales service has been really terrible. Rude telephone operators at the call centre, and technicians that have never returned with an answer of an update when they promised to. We have been passed along from pillar to post for more than a month now and have been without an oven for 2 months! There is no sense of urgency from Siemens. Even the sales rep for our area has not responded to being asked to phone us. So 2 months along and apparently they are now planning on ordering the replacement glass which will take 3 weeks at least. Needless to say, we cannot recommend their product or their company for after sales service.

After a few months I logged a service call when, all of a sudden none of the cakes I baked, was a success. We used equipment to measure the temperature and took a video. The temperature fell from 180⁰C tot 160⁰C. Sometimes more. Only 6-7 weeks later the thermostat was replaced. I could successfully bake cakes on normal oven setting. Then I started using the thermofan setting to bake and it was clear that heat is not being distributed evenly. Cookies at the back of oven is very dark, almost burned and rusks bake dark/burn on top rack when bottom rack dough is still raw. I booked a 2nd service call. The electrician came out. According to an email I received from a technician, I was told I should only bake on level 1 and 2 which will be the 2 bottom levels. Being desperate with no further feedback after 3 weeks, I followed his instructions. After 5 minutes the top rusks at the back in the middle of the oven got dark. I had to switch the 2 pans, top to bottom and back to front, which is not suppose to happen when baking in a thermofan oven. Needless to say that I again wasted ingredients. I took photo's of the baking process and forwarded it to the electrician and to Hirsch's. I also requested to be reimbursed for losses, but that can't be done either. Please take note, baking with a thermofan oven, is not a new experience for me. I've always had a thermofan oven. Never had any problems with Defy. So I know how to use the oven on thermofan setting. Or so I thought. Siemens clearly disagrees, because I was asked to send my rusk recipe to them! They want to try the recipe in another oven! A family recipe I've been baking for 21 years! So I am at fault? My baking skills are being questioned? I will advise anyone to rather buy a different brand.

It is with a heavy heart that I table this complaint, bought a premium Siemens Double door fridge, (which at the time I thought was the way to go.) sadly it recently stopped working, it was reported to Bosch/Siemens in Jhb (I reside in Cape Town) their service repair agent came to assess the unit, to be told that the controller needed to be replaced, and here is where the frustration comes in, when purchasing a premium brand imported product one would expect repairs to be effected speedily, however it will be 23 days before the part arrives in JHB SA, allow another 3 to 4 days to get the part to the service agent, who then needs maybe another 3 days before they get on site to do the repair.

Don't buy Siemens, you would expect to get a Good Quality product when you purchase a Siemens Oven but unfortunately it is not the case. The Siemens products comes at a price which would lead you to believe so. We bought an Oven from Siemens and it hasn't worked correctly since it was installed. Still waiting for parts for months now.

I bought an EQ500 Integral coffee machine in 2021. I experienced some problems with its operation and contacted Owethu at the Siemens Customer Service Centre. He advised me to make us of Smart Repair Centre in Klerksdorp as they are an accredited repair center for Siemens. I gave my coffee machine at the end of February and until today I don't know what is wrong with the machine or if I will ever see it again. Both Owethu and Smart Repair Centre ignores my messages and I now demand a brand new machine as I am under the impression that this so-called Repair centre has no idea what they are doing.

I purchased a fridge freezer and paid a premium for its online connectivity and cameras that are WIFI compatible only. Siemens Website states that through their app Home Connect, the system can be set up in South Africa. I live in an area that does not have cable; but I do have a good LTE signal and I can watch Netflix etc easily enough. Despite many attempts, I have failed to connect it to the Net. The engineer that Siemens dispatched also failed , and although the Company has software that their IT Department can use remotely to check for issues such as this, despite my request, have failed to do so. I suspect that their products are not compatible with some servers in South Africa, that they know this and that their adverti*****t, that I mention above, is therefore misleading. I think that would be purchasers in South Africa should be made aware of this before they spend money on something that cannot be used!

We bought a siemens coffee machine in August from Hirshes. The Siemens consultant first of all never sold us water purifier for the machine so we had ro go back for that. Secondly he said we will get within 1 week a complimentary cleaning pack delivered to us. Which we registered for. We have followed up on numerous occasions with Hirshes, Siemens directly as well as the sales consultant for Siemens. Items advertised with a over R12 000 purchased are just not adhered to, follow up service is just non existing.. I am in disbelief that such a well known brand has such little customer service
