I paid R995 for a tiny leather handbag and exactly 3 months later it is splitting where the opening is. I would have been happy to pay for a repair but got the usual brush off. Shocking service. Please don't confuse them with Smithco Leather. They are not the same company.

I ordered items online and did check the address ,com. I wanted to support local business as they had a sale. The pictures were not of their garments whatsoever as their quality terrible. Needless to say a Chinese dress size 14 is SA Dress size 24 probably so you are mislead and select the wrong size and they make money out of you. **** be AWARE. The quality of the fabric is terrible, quality cheap *******. When I tried to return, they stated on their website it up to them if you pay shipping to return ambiguous in their favor. They don't give you full refund they deduct their shipping costs back to Asia and other hidden costs. They also pay games that you can keep it and they will give you voucher to delay the period of 7 days in which you are allowed to return. This should be legal case how they are de*****ing the SA public with lies. Terrible service and quality is not worth a cent.

This online shopping site is dishonest in its presentation of goods - DO NOT BUY from it! I bought a "leather" bag from the site for a not cheap price ~R900 (marked down 50%). I should have know as soon as I saw the shipping from China that it was a ****! The bag is a cheap PVC leatherette bag that I could have bought at the Chinese market for R100 or less. Sent email to refund - per their policy still waiting. I am going to report them to the Consumer Ombudsman, and also alert Cape Town tourism that this company is trashing CT trade and business entities. It is not from Cape Town as it purports to be! ****sters deluxe !

**** **** **** _ BE WARNED !!!! SMITH Capetown. Advertises to sell "Handmade Leather bags" - with beautiful photographs of their products. I picked up the adverti*****t on Instagram, clicked on the "Shop Now" link to their website ( https://smith-capetown.com/collections/leather-bags) There was a 50% discount bringing the price down to R1095 for a leather tote bag. First warning sign - there are NO good deals. Whilst the order was processed immediately, it quickly became apparent that the order was coming from China. I immediately contacted Customer Services via their link (support@smith-capetown.com), I received an automated Bot-response and any futher communications and questions from my part were responded to in tha same way. I reported that I was dissatisfied with the order because it was already apparent it was coming from China, and I suspected TEMU Delivery was via Buffalo, which is the courier servcie used by TEMU. It took a 2 and half weeks to be delivered. I received the order today and it is a revolting cheap shiny plastic bag - it even has a toxic plastic smell. I went onto their Refunds Policy (see link here https://smith-capetown.com/policies/refund-policy) which makes it almost impossible to return the goods - it is all at the customer's expense and they reserve the rights not to refund under a whole lot of conditions. The returns are sent to their central asian depot. For goodness sake - it is NOT a Cape Town based company, or if it is, it is simply sending on / redirected TEMU products and the goods are CERTAINLY not hand made leather. I reported the Instagram posting from SMITH Capetown as a ****. I also saw that they advertised a sob-story that they were hving to close down their husband ad wife business which was so hard to run and not at all profitable and thus it was a clearance sale at below cost prices. O.M.G - where do these people get the gaul to continue *********** others. What reco**** does the consumer have?

I found Smith CapeTown on Instagram. Sone sad story about them making their own dresses and now closing down and on sale. So of course I believed the story. Also thinking I’m supporting local as I live in CT. Didn’t read reviews unfortunately. Anyway once order was place I saw it was a Chinese courier. The items were from some where in China and not local. Needless to say I haven’t received my items even though their support email tells me it’s here and I must call the courier Buffalox. Guess what I can’t get hold of anyone there. It’s all bots. The tracking says delivery failed but no one contacted me. I emailed their support again and no feedback since last Tuesday. Shocking service and the story doesn’t tie up. Also I can’t find them on Instagram now. What to do here? I spent quite a bit.
