Avoid using this company for inverter repairs—they are completely ***********. I took my inverter to them for an AC relay clicking fault. It took them two weeks to respond, only to claim they had replaced the main board and back board. They charged me for the repairs, but after installation, I discovered the inverter could no longer run in parallel with the others. I returned it to them the same week, and only got it back in January 2025. This time, they claimed to have replaced additional parts, including the AC relay. After reinstalling the inverter, I found that the AC relay still wasn’t working, and now the inverter is entirely off-grid. It starts up using AC but cannot use AC to power the load. Their technical staff clearly have no idea what they’re doing, and there appears to be no quality control by competent individuals to ensure repairs are carried out to a professional standard. This has been a frustrating and costly experience. Proceed with caution if you’re considering their services.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Josh, the Warehouse Manager at Solar Europe., and I couldn't be more impressed. From our first interaction, it was clear that he is dedicated to ensuring a smooth and efficient process for customers like me. Josh’s attention to detail is remarkable. He kept me informed about my order status and ensured that everything was delivered on time and in perfect condition. His knowledge of the products and their proper handling gave me confidence in the company’s commitment to quality and safety. What stood out the most was Josh’s outstanding customer service. He was always available to answer my questions and provided helpful insights about the solar products I was purchasing. His friendly demeanor and willingness to go the extra mile made my experience truly enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend Solar Europe. and commend Josh for his exceptional work, and I look forward to working with him again in the future!

Bought 2 solar optimizers from them on Wednesday. They initially wanted to charge me R400 for couriers for something that is the size of a lunch box. After fighting I got it down to R160. I then received them and changed my mind about them and returned them on Thursday. (Unused in original packaging) I was then told that I can't return electronic items. I asked them to show me those terms and conditions on their website and they couldn't. I then after a lot of fighting got them to take it back but they charged me a 25% handling fee. I then told them that their website terms and conditions states the handling fee is 10% and was told by Gawie (Director or something) that he doesnt care. I can either take the 75% back or get nothing. Must be the rude-ist person I ever spoken to over the phone. Wont be surprised if they dont exist in a few years. Think twice before buying anything from them. Rather pay more somewhere else! Pity hellopeter doesnt have 0 stars. I paid 2200 incl couriers both ways and got 1380 back eventually. As per their terms and conditions on the website : Cancellation of orders by the client will attract a 10% administration fee. https://www.solar-europe.co.za/about-us/terms-conditions/
