Buying speed queen is so costly and getting it repaired is a rip from Leads Services .I was charged twice Labour.iYou charged Labour on call out,when you buy the parts broken from them you must pay for Labour again and they deliberately over charge you on the parts .and I love the machines and I feel it the best and you cannot wrong .

Percy Glad is a conman. My dealings with him started on 9th November 2020 when I contacted him for a service on my Speed Queen as it was leaking water after we moved. He sent his Technician Lee to come and get the barrel of the machine. I received a quote of R3200 from Percy to fix the machine. I told him to carry on with the repair. On 12th November Lee brought the machine back, and unfortunately being the trusting person I am, I paid the money over to Lee without testing the machine. I connected the machine and it still leaked water. Phoned Percy again he sent Lee to come and collect the machine again on the 13th Nov 2020, They have FOUND another crack in the inner drum and is busy fixing it that was on 20th Nov 2020. Waiting for the Cylicone to dry. On 23 Nov 2020 Lee brought the machine back, this time I tested the machine before Lee left. I did a full load and noticed that the water level went past the max mark, showed Lee this, he said that I should never fill the machine to the max, really I have done this for years. He suggested that I fill till the 3/4 mark. The water streamed out again, the service that was done, but no brake pads replaced, I pointed this out to Lee and he said he will replace them. On 27 Nov Lee came and replaced the brake pads, and also said that the solenoid is giving problems and that it will cost R1000 to replace. I refused to pay as I got a quote for R3200 and this should have been included. He also took out a part and said he just has to go to Alberton, but he will be back, and of course never did. Lee returned on the 30th Nov, took out the drum and went back to the workshop. We are now at 7 Dec 2020 Lee brought the drum back and connected the machine. I tested it and the machine made an ungodly sound during the wash cycle, the spin cycle sounded as if the machine wanted to take off. I sent Percy an email saying that the whole of Pretoria closes for the December holiday, so I want Lee to return early January 2021 to fix up the mess. In the interim I had bought another machine as I was not prepared to wash my washing by hand anymore. Of course Lee did not come I had to contact Percy again and he sent Lee once again Lee opened the front panel of the machine and took a video of the noise it was making and phoned Percy from our house, and told him that it a bearing that is busy packing up and he will get Percy to give me a quote on a new bearing. I told him I will not pay another cent towards the machine. Spoke to Percy again and he said he thought the problem was sorted out already, and that he would send Lee on Monday 22 Jan 2021, well of course Lee did not arrive. Percy Glad is a conman of note and I feel he should be lock up for fraud. He is a disgrace to be called a Speed Queen expert and he is tarnishing Speed Queen's good name. Shame on you Percy!!! Please people DO NOT GET PERCY GLAD TO SERVICE YOUR MACHINE.

After suffering a lightening strike on my house. All my appliances including my Speed Queen Washing Machine were effected - Lead Laundry, the SA Speed Queen agents advised a R 6300 repair on a 25 yer old machine - 1 year later the machine has packed up completely - Its turns out the expected lifespan of a Speed Queen washer, was 25 years ?? Subsequent repair experts, advised the machine should never have been repaired. Lead Laundry have completely ignored my claims for any type of compensation as a result of their dodgy business practices - still claiming they were correct in advising a R6300 repair for a 25 year old machine ?? Every other appliance effected by the lightening strike was replaced with a new unit. I have now had to replace my washing machine at my own cost when this should have been covered by insurance a year ago. Watch out for the dodgy business practices used by this company !!

Website www.speedqueenrepairs.co.za Person's name Johnathan He came to check what is wrong with our speedqueen , he found that our machine's motor and fan belt is gone. We can actually claim this back from our insurance, we just needed a report from Johnathan. He was really keen to get his R250 immediately after his foundings, but after a week of beggin him for the report we have given up. I phoned him last Friday again and ask for the report he told me is on the road the entire day and did not have time. I told him that I will take it further and his response was not caring at all. He told me that if he needed our business he would run after us, obviously we are not worthy of his service. I am really disappointed in this young man's response
