Our daughter enrolled for matric re-write with the Randburg branch. The kind of venue and the surrounding mattered to us as parents. We visited the branch and were happy with the branch and the surrounding too. Upon enquiry, we asked whether classes and exams were to be conducted at that specific branch and we were told that classes will be conducted at that Randburg branch and that only exams will be written at their Kempton park branch. A week later, we paid registration fee, an exam fee and extra amount towards tuition and bought T-shirts for the week. Classes were conducted at the branch for a week and the following week, just a day before, we were informed that classes for matric re-writes will be moved from the school to another venue the following day. No apology for the inconvenience nor indulgence granted to parents by the school, we were simply directed. The following day we arrived at the new venue, which i must say was *****, untidy with smelling carpets, no desks, no staff from the school to welcome the children (08h00) only hobbos were coming in and out of the supposed new venue. We called the school to find out how we were supposed to drop our kids at such a venue with no sign of school but there were was no explanation from the school except that they were not aware the place was not ready. My husband drove to the school as i had to leave for work. The principal at the school was very rude, unprofessional and arrogant, claiming the venue was ready for lessons. We then terminated the contract due to the behaviour of the principal and non-disclosure of the possible change of venue which i believe the school was aware of upon registration but chose to not disclose. The school took 25% from the total amount paid which included fees for the following month. The school is a **** and ran by a principal behaving like an illiterate. I would not advise any parent to enrol their children at such a school.

I'm writing to express my extreme disappointment and frustration with the service I've received from the administration team, specifically the Head of Admin, at Taalnet Kempton Park Branch. As a paying client, I expect a certain level of respect and professionalism, which I unfortunately did not receive on Friday 21st of November 2025. My child has been a student at Taalnet since Grade 1, and I'm pleased with the academic progress she's made. As she's promoted to Grade 2, I requested a school acceptance letter, which is a standard document, only to be denied by the Head of Admin. Not only was my request denied, but I was also given an ultimatum to pay a full term's fees for Grade 2, despite my clear intention to pay the registration fee for 2026. I find it puzzling that I'm being treated this way, especially since I've been paying fees monthly without any issues. The Head of Admin's attitude was unprofessional and dismissive. I was told, almost as if I was an inconvenience, that I should consider taking my child out of the school if I don't comply with their demands. I request an urgent review of this matter and an explanation for the administration's behavior. As a parent, I expect better treatment, especially from an institution that's supposed to prioritize its clients' needs.

Taal-net Brentwood park has a dog on their premises. This dog keeps ons barking every night. We have been in contact with the principal, but she just denies the fact that it is their dog. We even went to the gate of the school to see what is going on. No one can sleep at night!!

1 star is too high a rating for this pathetic College. I recommend studying on YouTube instead of Taal-Net. Yes they both won't give you a certificate but at least you'd have obtained more knowledge as well as save your money and time. My apologies if this upsets anyone.

I do not recommend this semi-government college to anyone as we have paid in full and received books and wrote the N1 exam but unable to get the certificate from the college and paid extra R20 for certificate. I have sent about 12 emails to Patience who's response every time is that she is waiting for the education department but we are never cc in any correspondence. Communication and Admin are poor and regret ever dealing with this college and should have joined a private one instead.

Absolutely pathetic company, Incompetent staff that do absolutely nothing on their end to sort out a problem, I've been waiting for my N1 Mechanical Engineering certificate for over 2 years now, Yes it has been 2 years and after 14 requests I'm still getting the same bs excuse of "We're waiting for the department" 18 Grand later and I have nothing to show for it, I don't know why the staff are even employed all they do is sit at their desks and ignore you when you enter their facilities, When you try to organize a meeting with one of them they tell you to come in but once you arrive they're suddenly unavailable In fact their body language says "Help yourself we don't care" but what more can we expect from a government entity.

Still haven't received any feedback from Taal-net. So I do not recommend to go and study there because they don't do any effort in Distance students.
