Table Mountain is truly one of the most beautiful places in the world. The views are breathtaking, the air feels fresh and peaceful, and the experience is unforgettable. Whether you're hiking or taking the cable car, it’s a place that makes you feel proud to be in Cape Town. Nature at its absolute best.

On the 29 Dec 2025 I wanted to made good memories with my kids by showing the the beautiful Table Mountain! Pre-booked our tickets paying over R1500 ... expensive but I wanted my kids to experience this. What a disasted it ende up being with both my kids saying it was their first and last, they will not bring their kids there one day either ... not worth it. All that money for such a bad experience. Ended spending 6 and a half hours queuing in the blasing sun burning to a chrisp. After 3 and a half hours we finally made it up the mountain, the queu was so long we decided to just get something to eat and get back in the queu to let the kids roam and see whilst we stand wait. The food was horrible, there was no space to sit and eat it was dirty as well. We stood in that queu to get back down in the hot sun for another 3 hours just to get back down, we tried to take turns because by this time we were badly sunburned and our feet were killing us. I can't imagine what the international visitors had to say about this very bad service, There was no control over the queus people were pushing in people were so irretated. All in all I paid a **** load of money to stand in a queu for 6 and a half hours paid a R1200 for terrible food. Shame on you guys!!! For the amount of money people spend there should be beter control, more employees and beter tasting food!!! Shame on you!!! 😡😡

Visited Table Mountain Aerial Cableway on 30 September around 9am. We queued in the regular line for about 3.5 hours. (published time 1.5hrs) Once the Fast Track lane opened, people continually skipped ahead and the regular queue slowed to a crawl. The Fast Track fee (about R800 pp) isn’t realistic for many South African families, so the system felt inequitable. Consider: 1)Capping Fast Track so the regular queue still moves at a reasonable pace. 2)Publish clear, honest wait-time estimates for both queues. Tip for future visitors: consider walking up and taking the cable car down. (The walk up is less than the waiting time) Table Mountain is a treasure; please make the queue management fair for everyone.

The pricing for locals is way too expensive. They launched a pensioners card at R899!! The standard cabe card that hikers use has become ridiculously expensive (R1500) with no added benefits for hikers. My wild card costs way less (less than R800) and has so much more value. Someone needs to seriously review the management of this treasure and it can be so much more better.

Bought coffee and cake for 3 on a misty morning in October and the cakes were stodgy and coffee uninteresting. Nobody interested when I complained. Spoilt the whole experience of the morning.

Staff are inadequately trained to serve the amount of visitors to the restaurant. To be told rather abruptly “ don’t queue here for coffee, go and pay and come back” - is just plain disgusting! It would be easier if menus were placed outside and one could then choose instead of queuing only to find it’s not what you want. A total embarrassment as a tourist offering.

We were a group of 8 people today 12th Feb 2023 & im truly shocked that the cafe served such disappointing food, the bill was over the top for cold toasted bagels & the drinks were Luke warm! I believe you drop yr standerds because the foot traffic is huge, so you don’t care to serve decent quality food! Truly embarrassed that you feed the tourist such terrible South African food! You can do better!
