The shelter (Tallulah) in the Northern Suburbs is headed by a fat, Black sister. The shelter houses males, females, Muslims and non-Muslims. When she saw me doing my prayers, she screamed at me, humiliated me infront of everyone and demanded that I be returned to the police station I came from. This is religious discrimination and it is unacceptable.

Recently we spent a cold and windy Sunday morning at Honey Trails in Drummond in the 1000 Hills area. In keeping with Covid regulations there is an honesty box for donations and the coffee shop and formal reception was closed. Talloula is just down the road, so we decided to pop in to see if we could get a hot coffee and maybe even a breakfast. Oh my, were we treated, not only with a delicious coffee but an outstanding breakfast bun and some lekker Saffa slaptjips. For breakfast!!! It was absolutely awesome. But the food wasnt what made the xperience so great. It was the management and staff who were on duty at 09h00 on a freezing cold day with cooking stations outside specifically for the exercise junkies to get their fix. All of this was arranged by their management to assist their staff with earning during the lockdown. We learned that the day befre the management mae participated in the Comrades in 4 days, and did a fundraiser just for his staff. So admitable. The staff were so pleased to be on duty and you canfeel the mutual respect and happiness in the establishment. Attention to detail was phenomenal. We were offered blankets and all sorts whilst we ssocially distance outside chowing down on our delicious brekkies. I will always support an establishment where management lead from the front. But this was such a pleasure. I will make sure the

Was booked to get married on 4th of July however with the outbreak of Corona virus, was forced to cancel the wedding. Even after countless articles been published from south africa ombudsman that a full refund should be granted Talloula still refusing and forcing to postpone for a unknown date. R22000 was paid over a year ago and only 5500 was given back, its going be economic crisis and these people want to withhold peoples money for indefinite time period. Have informed municipality an they ignore on calls made to them, an now in process of taking this matter the legal route. If any other couples are having same problem. Please also leave a review with there contact details.

I attended the Wedding of a close family member at Talloula. I chose to spend the night at the venue with my family, due to us travelling from far. After the wedding/reception was over and most other guests had left, my wife received a phone call from her aunt to say that my wife's gran, who was 85 years old, had left her medication at the venue. When I approached Louis requesting whether I could check around the reception hall to look for her medication, I was greeted with the most rude and aggressive experience I had ever experienced. He even said to me that he did not care whether the matter was relating to a 2 year old or a 80 year old! How does a person of this calibre enter this type of business or even survive! We as South Africans have come to tolerate pathetic service generally, but this was beyone pathetic! Whether I would recommend or even visit Talloula again.....NEVER!!!
