Spent the night there while attending the FEDHASA Gala Awards (which was also great). Coming from hospitality industry - I am critical, but this hotel is really up there. Classy but not intimidating, spotlessly clean, and the suite I spent the night in was pure luxury - didn't want to leave. One can see the ocean and magnificent CT mountains from the suite too. The Colosseum Hotel is also located in a really secure and clean 'suburb' -called Century City. Great Mall there too for shopping. Will definitely return! Staff ultra friendly and welcoming!

I stayed with The Colosseum hotel in February for a work congress. I have been trying to get an invoice from the hotel for 3 days. They keep taking my name and email address and never getting back to me. I spoke to Robin, Ronel, and another lady. First they said it’s not on their system, then called to say they found it. How hard can it be to email an invoice?

If you’re renting at The Collosseum Marshaltown, please note that; 1. The walls are paper thin - you’ll hear your neighbour speaking at all times of the day 2. There are roast infestation - roaches are moving from apartment to the next, daily. 3. Landlords access your apartments without your consent. Specially if you’re with Lindo Ndlela. Lindo Ndlela will switch off your water and lights when they are fully paid. She will grant herself access to your unit when you are not home. As for your deposit, you can forget about it. She reports Google reviews about her until they are removed so be very wary.

Would not recommend a stay at the colosseum. I’ve been here for only 6 months and already moving out. Hygiene issues: the whole building is filthy. The stairways have graffiti written in chalk, the passageway carpets are dirty, a smell of **** constantly fills the air and every apartment has ****roaches the size of teacups. Noise: the walls have no sound proofing. You can hear your neighbour bathing, plugging their phone and every conversation they have. Most of the occupants are students so there’s loud music playing from Monday to Friday, all times. This place is not suitable for working from home, serious studying or raising a family. Security guards: very unfriendly and can be hostile to tenants and children without reason. Landlords: never return deposits. I would not in good faith advise anyone to come here.

I'm a outraged at the treatment that I'm receiving even after I left the Colosseum I have been waiting for my deposit and still no response from them even after I sent an email to stuart,I get a response when she wants to respond. The deposit that I mist get must be returned to me with a 2% interest for the 3 years that I have been staying there. When they came to inspect the place they said I cracked the wall, and I came to them to tell them after the wall cracking as they said dont worry about it but when I leave i must pay for it after i told them. The law stats that the place were your staying. They need to paint the place but with me it wasnt done. When I tried to move the security guards informed me that the truck must fetch my things outside yet when I moved in. My truck came in with my clothes. Imagine having to be told by the security guards who have been giving me an issue since I moved in. That in the rain mybtruck must fetch my things outside and my clothes must get wet. I must wait for the new tents to move in before I can move ou***** took them 3 years for them to fix the lights that I have been living there iv been complaining since day 1. I had a plumping problem and I informed them. Nothing was done. They lie about paying the deposit to tents who leave the place but they dont pay them. They just make excuses and what to make sure that you dont get your deposit and the 2%. I want my deposit as I was promised as there was nothing broken. Cape town takes forever to answer. I would understand if they got to me saying that they have received my email or they are investigating but nun. Since when does a refund take 14 to 21 days and in the beginning I was told that it takes 5-7 working days for a refund. Why are there different stories. Even the rent goes up and down like the stock market it's not even fixed. When you complain about the rent they adjust it as it's not what was promised. I have been paying constantly for 3 years and no.mispayment but I have been mistreated for being an honest payer. I want my deposit with my 2% for 3 years. I dont want excuses. When I paid eft they would even debit my account even it payments reflects and lie and say that it didn't. If they can do that with making payments what else can they do with my deposit. As per the sent email the deposit with the 2% interest for 3 years as they told me. It must be paid into that account.

Good day, Be aware of a Flat called Colosseum in 41 Kruis street Johannesburg CBD, If you decide to go stay with them and be a good tenant and don''t damage the property, believe me you will never get your deposit amount back. Ask anyone who ever stayed at their Flat, or the Housing Tribunal, they they are crooks and don't even care if you open a Tribunal or Police case.
