The Copper Club Durbanville: We went for lunch on Friday, 13/02/2026. The ****tails, food, service & staff were ABSOLUTELY amazing. I can't wait to go back to try more ****tails, food & desserts. I can highly recommend this venue. Thanks again to all the staff.

I’m honestly very disappointed with the service I received during my recent visit. This restaurant has always been my go-to spot whenever I want good food, so I called ahead and made a reservation for a table for three. I specifically requested a particular table, confirmed its availability, and was told it was reserved for us. When we arrived, we were suddenly informed that we “were not suited” for that table and that we would need to sit elsewhere or outside. When I asked for the manager, the same man I had spoken to introduced himself as the manager and continued to insist we couldn’t have the table. He claimed that to secure that specific table, we should have booked 48 hours in advance — something that was never communicated during my reservation call. What made the situation even worse is that shortly after, other guests of colour arrived and were immediately given that exact table. Throughout the interaction, the manager, Tariq Sirkot, was extremely rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. At one point, he even told us we could leave if we wanted to — which is completely unacceptable. Because we were celebrating my sister’s academic achievements and it was already late, we chose to stay. The only positive part of our experience was our waitress, Elanie, who provided excellent service and helped make the evening slightly better. Overall, the experience was a zero. I expected far better treatment, especially from a place I’ve supported for so long.

We recently visited The Copper Club Tyger Waterfront as a group of 10, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. While the food and setting were divine, the service fell far short of expectations. Our waiter (Allan Njolomole) was noticeably rude and seemed annoyed throughout the evening. When we politely asked for a group photo to capture the moment after paying our bill, his response was, “I’m too busy,” which felt dismissive and unprofessional. For a venue that prides itself on hospitality, this was a let-down. A simple gesture of courtesy would have made a big difference. Sadly, this experience overshadowed what could have been an enjoyable outing.

The Copper Club Plattekloof Overall the service was good and the waiter friendly But... 1. The 'manager' touched the burger bun with his bare hands twice - to see if it has pickles on before it being served. 2. Plastic was found in one of the beef burgers. 3. Half a avo (not sliced) just added to the burger. Normally we do have a good experience...

Copper Club Tygervalley I work near the Copper Club in Tygervalley. I recently passed by to walk to my office. There were two waiters sitting outside having their lunch. One of them cat called me. I did not appreciate this behavior and found it to be extremely disrespectful especially considering the climate of this country. I would not recommend this restaurant if that is the type of treatment one can expect from the staff. I would not bring any loved ones to be subject to this experience.

We called in to make an appointment for our year end function for 10 people, we specifically asked of they are Halaal or Halaal friendly, the person that took the booking confirmed they are Halaal friendly, but when arriving by the place as requested the halaal menu, it was told to us it's only one menu and the bacon that is on what we want to order can be changed with chicken or beef, when asked is the chicken and beef prepared on the same grill the waiter could not answer. Could also not tell us if the beef is halaal, don't think they know what Halaal friendly means, please be careful for booking for muslim staff. As we had to leave and get a new venue last minute. Very disappointed and very bad communication between the front desk giving the incorrect info to client, looks like they just want the busy. The waiter told us the muslim staff can order a salad thst is halaal....what a joke.

We were helped by Dillon at Copper Club Plattekloof. He truly went out of his way to help us get a table, even though reservations were full and the restaurant was very busy. He organised our drinks and food as we moved from the waiting area to our table with no delays. We had a great experience thanks to Dillon.
