We took our vehicle to Diesel Lab in February 2025 for an injector replacement. Since then, we’ve experienced nothing but dishonesty, poor workmanship, and terrible customer service from Sergio, who is believed to be the son of the owner or co-owner. At one point, Sergio told us the car was ready. However, after collecting it, the vehicle broke down within 5 kilometers of the workshop. This alone speaks volumes about the quality of their work and the deception involved. Sergio is condescending, unprofessional, and not a man of integrity—he does not honour his word and repeatedly avoids taking accountability. The customer service at this business is shockingly poor, and from other reviews, it’s clear this is not an isolated incident. I will be lodging a formal complaint with the Motor Industry Ombudsman. This is a warning to future customers: avoid Diesel Lab at all costs. You will regret trusting them with your vehicle

I had a very poor experience with Diesel Lab (Annlin, Pretoria). I brought my Toyota Fortuner in to have the diesel injectors checked and repaired. After their work was done, my vehicle went into limp-home mode and experienced complete power loss. I left the vehicle with them for another day, and the manager claimed they suspected a defective turbocharger (the turbo was fine before I left the vehicle with them). They happened to have a replacement turbo, which they installed, but the vehicle still had no power. I was advised by Diesel Lab to take my original turbo to a turbo expert for a second opinion, and they reported no faults with it. I insisted that my vehicle be towed to the turbo experts so they could reinstall my working turbo. The total cost to me ended up being over R18,000. When I asked the management for some kind of refund to cover the cost of reinstalling my own (working) turbo, which they had removed, the response was extremely unprofessional. I am extremely unsatisfied with the service and would not recommend Diesel Lab in Annlin, Pretoria to anyone.

Service horrific and not honest business. Replaced recon injectors. Job was over R26 000. Four days later after we got our vehicle back, we had a breakdown and we towed it back to them. We were told after diagnoses the diesel tank was dirty because of contaminated fuel. We had to pay another R13 000. Not long after that, the vehicle did the same thing. Black smoke etc. When we phoned to report this, we were told they could only help us in the new year because they were closing for holidays, only to find out that the person lied to us. We returned with the vehicle after one of the admin ladies told us we could bring it in. She has been the only helpful person. They checked, and it was said again the fuel is contaminated. We sent in a fuel sample to be tested. Results came back as clean - NO contamination. We had to take the vehicle to another mechanic who said the injectors were faulty . Up until now Diesel Lab has not said anything. We continue to pay for their lack of competence. They really do not care about their customers. We do not recommended them to anyone.

I just want to warn people that wants to do business with them. We took a diesel pump to them. they charged us R5000 to fix it, but didn't do anything. we had to take it to someone else. they refuse to refund us, nor did they apologise, instead the owner started swearing at my husband.
