Unprofessional Estate Agents
Unprofessional estate agents. Please stay away. We were harassed into paying the deposit, now we are struggling to get it back. We moved out the 2nd of December. The letting agent, O’Neil Singh advised the owner has the deposit, the owner claims she didn't receive any funds from us. Even though we have shared the proof of payment with her, she is still adamant that she has no proof that we have paid. Calls, text messages, and emails to Empire goes unanswered. Please vet Estate Agencies properly before doing business with them.

Unprofessional estate agents. Please stay away. We were harassed into paying the deposit, now we are struggling to get it back. We moved out the 2nd of December. Tenant abuse
1. We have photographic proof that the agent entered my home when I wasn't there. He ignores any questions on this and is pretending it didn't happen. 2. He doesn't understand his own contract and attempted to force me to pay for a month's rent after I moved out. 3. He ignores emails and simply doesn't speak to tenants. When I visited the business I could see him hiding in his office letting the young ladies deal with me instead like a ***ard. 4. They're holding back part of my deposit with no proof of where the money went or how it was spent. 5. They do not assist when there is an issue at the property, we ended up having to speak to the landlord directly who hadn't been informed of the issues. 6. Empire sent tenants my personal phone number so I could show the property. He didn't even show up for showings when sending strangers to my home. They treat tenants like dirt.

Tenant Abuse, Poor service and tenant mistreatment
I signed a lease agreement with O'Neill Sign for an apartment at Greenpark Lifestyle and paid R20,000.00 on the 28 of February 2025, i moved in on the 1st of March 25 to a property that's not livable as the unit needs some proper maintenance, broken toilet seat, bathroom basin, broken lights etc unit was not well maintained i raised my concerns and asked to be released as i could not live in a place like that, The Agent Oneil sign has been threatening me and also advised that since i will be me staying at the unit for those days i will be forfeiting the month rent salary of R7500.00 (meaning if i stayed less than a month i will be charged R7500,00 also a pro -rata of the balance , i have since received from the empire properties and was expected to peruse and sign within 15 minutes stating as follows: This serves to confirm that name:……………..…………………………………………………………………. will be vacating the apartment as early cancellation of lease and the keys ................. sets will be handed over and remotes ........................ sets will be handed over. This is a voluntary exit. I understand due to the early lease termination that the deposit will forfeited, and any balance due will be paid over to myself upon exit. SUJECT; VACATING NB: 1 MONTH’S DEPOSIT WILL BE FORFEITED. IN ADDITION PRO-RATA RENT WILL BE CHARGED AND CALCULATED UPON EXIT OF PREMISES. I don't think this is fair, as myself and family suffered, having to live in a place like that and getting threatened at the same time, what O'Neil sold me versus what i received two different things. Never thought i will receive such treatment from The Empire Properties and i am disgruntled to the core.

Nasima DNA shazia they are wanted by police for ***** commited when they used to run Nasima khan property in Sandton. They have since filed for bankruptcy and opened a new company. Be cautious when dealing with them as they are known ********s in the game

Sharing my recent experience with them. Avoid working with this real estate agent at all costs. From the start, they provided deceptive videos of the property, misleading me entirely. Instead of addressing the issues professionally, they chose to publicly humiliate me and even sent threatening messages disguised as religious rhetoric. Despite their clear misconduct, they refuse to take accountability and refund the deposit and advance payment. Their behavior is *********, unprofessional, and unacceptable. I strongly advise against trusting them with your time, money, or peace of mind.
