Today I went to The local choice pharmacy in Pretoria Sunnyside(the biggest one). I went to get my family planning injection and I must say that the lady nurse there was so rude. I was due to go on the 20th of Feb but I couldn’t because I was out of the country. The old woman did not even want to know why I didn’t come on that day. She just told me that she will not help me because my date has past and that she does not even see the reason why they give us the dates and went on to shove me off by giving showing me her hand and said I must go. While I was talking to her she ignored me and went ahead to speak to the people behind me. She has no respect, I’m a mother like her and I’m a wife like her and to give so much disrespect infront of people and yet you made an auth to serve us with respect! I will not let her go, I’m going to make sure that she trends and to ensure that The local choice pharmacy knows the type of employees they hire…

The local choice pharmacy in Fairlands is definitely is definitely recommended. I spoke to Michelle on 2 occasions. She was friendly and very helpful. Each time she had my order correct and her advice was appreciated. Pieter delivered my order and was quick, helpful and friendly. Thank you for caring and your quick response each time.

I am extremely disappointed with the unprofessional service and "rotten" attitude encountered at this branch. After a simple request to have my original script returned, the staff failed to do so. This necessitated an unnecessary second trip back to the pharmacy. Instead of an apology for the oversight, I was met with an entitled and condescending attitude from both the staff and the pharmacist on duty. The communication style was patronizing, making us feel as though we were being spoken to like primary school children rather than adult customers. This lack of basic professional courtesy and efficiency is unacceptable in a healthcare environment. I would advise management to look into the interpersonal skills of their team, as the current atmosphere is dismissive and disrespectful to the local community. I will be taking my business elsewhere. Bron Pharmacy always treated me with respect.

Five out of five stars for The Local Choice Waterstone in Somerset West, consistently. I just had a call from someone at the pharmacy to tell me an antihistamine I was really suffering without is back in stock. The stock shortage is international - it wasn't due to the pharmacy neglecting to order. They didn't need to specifically call me and tell me it was in, but they did, meaning I will be so much healthier than I have been since supply chains gave out late last year. Starting today. I was actually dreading 2026 - the medicine makes that much of a difference to my life.

I am unhappy about the service I received on the 09 November 2025 in Sun City Resort. Pharmacist (Letlhogonolo Ramoyega) was not professional and made me feel like my confidentiality was compromised, he brought a prescription medication to the floor which is always opened at the back and I asked may he do it at the back and he continued to say no one can see and that the printer was hiding it and had the audacity to ask if I wanted the box. I don't know much about pharmaceuticals but I know prescription medication should be confidential and done discreetly. I am disappointed to say the least.

Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to formally express my disappointment and concern regarding the unprofessional conduct of your pharmacist during my recent visit to Local Choice Pharmacy in Ventersdorp on 5 November 2025. I accompanied my father to the pharmacy to seek professional advice from the pharmacist regarding his medication. One of the staff members initially assisted us and mentioned that my father’s tablets were “just vitamins,” adding that he would consult the pharmacist for confirmation. When the pharmacist was approached, she responded in a loud, disrespectful, and unprofessional manner, clearly audible to everyone present. She did not have the courtesy to approach us directly, listen to our concerns, or offer appropriate professional guidance. Such behavior is discourteous and unbecoming of a healthcare professional who is expected to treat patients and their families with dignity and respect. Following the incident, I was informed that the pharmacist contacted people outside the pharmacy to inquire about me and my family, which I find deeply invasive, *********, and unprofessional. This constitutes a breach of confidentiality and professional boundaries. This is not the first time I have experienced issues with the same pharmacist, and I am extremely disappointed by her ongoing disregard for professionalism and patient care. As per the Pharmacy Act 53 of 1974 and the Good Pharmacy Practice (GPP) standards set by the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC), pharmacists are required to: Maintain patient confidentiality at all times; Communicate respectfully and professionally with the public; and Provide appropriate advice and assistance within the scope of their professional duties. The conduct I witnessed is a clear violation of these principles and undermines public trust in the pharmacy profession. I therefore request that this matter be investigated urgently, and appropriate disciplinary or corrective action be taken to ensure this does not happen again — to me or to any other customer. I also request a formal written response regarding the outcome of this complaint. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your prompt response.

Jackie is honestly the best pharmacist ever! She always goes above and beyond remembering to order my daughter’s refills and even reminding me when our script is about to expire. Her kindness and care mean so much to us. She’s an absolute star! 🌟💖
