I am extremely disappointed with the service received from TJ Maodi Inc regarding my Vodacom account. My account was handed over to them due to financial constraints and unemployment. I settled the account in full in December 2024 and received a paid‑up letter. By law, once a debt is settled, the credit provider and their appointed agency must update the credit bureaus within 30 days. It has now been well beyond that period, yet Vodacom still reflects as owing on my credit report. This has negatively impacted my ability to secure credit, including a vehicle purchase I urgently need for work. I contacted TJ Maodi Inc multiple times. A manager named Happy promised resolution within 7 working days, but 15 business days later nothing was done. When I followed up, I was met with unprofessional and sarcastic responses, including an agent openly mocking my request in Sepedi while I was on hold. Here's a scenario: So I spoke to an agent and sadly did not get their name. I asked him if I could speak to Happy their manager. He asks me for information and I tell him I need to speak to Happy. He says I should hold and does not even follow the correct hold process. On the other end I can hear him telling another colleague that "O re o nyak'o buwa le Happy nna ke tlo mo mayizisa"... Meaning "She says she wants to speak to Happy and I am going to make her wait a bit". I got so angry and told him I can hear what he's saying and how dare he because I am at work and need to get this sorted. I suppose he didn't think I understand Sepedi. This is unacceptable and violates basic customer service standards. As a consumer, I have the right under the National Credit Act to have my credit record updated promptly once a debt is paid. TJ Maodi Inc has failed to fulfill their obligation to ensure Vodacom updates the bureaus. Their delays and poor conduct have cost me opportunities and continue to harm my financial standing. I want immediate action to correct my credit record and a formal apology for the disrespectful treatment I received from TJ Maodi inc.

Not sure how these people operate as a law firm...I have been paying my account every month as they requested, I check my credit report and comes back that I have not paid in 2 years...What is going on there? Why are you not updating my payments to the credit bureau?? You are messing with my life, that is not on.

I received all from a woman called UNATHI MAQUBELA who ordered me to pay for a Vodacom account that was in areas. I paid up the money in full to the account that UNATHI MAQUBELA provided me with, account name is TJ MAODI ATTORNEYS. Upon payment she sent me an email confirming the receipt of funds, followed by a paid up letter from her. She then proceeded to say that she would contact Vodacom to clear my account as per the terms and agreements. It's been 3 years now and the account says it's in arrears with the very same amount that I paid in full, when I email her or the team they just ignore or respond once a year saying that they'll contact @Vodacom urgently... for 3 years now they've been sending me that same response... worse they send that response once a year after multiple countless emails. When I call @Vodacom they seem to know nothing about all of this. I've logged a complaint with the Ombunds for assistance regarding this matter and am going for Vodacom as well for working with con artists. My advice is that don't ever pay money to them. Rather go to the company you're owing directly otherwise your money will go to dust.

Please don't send these people your money. Please Please! Just coz they confirm your ID number does not make them legit. They will say you owe one account when you tell them you've never had a cellphone contract with Vodacom only Fibre, they then say "yes the account relates to your fibre account". Just a warning! They change amounts owed, now they are running a valentines special where you save if you settle your account early. Don't fall for it! Check your credit reports. How are you blacklisted in their books and vodacom's books but nothing appears on your credit reports... Question things more!
