They don’t even deserve a single star. I bought an A5 diary at Typo Menlyn yesterday. I wanted to personalise it and showed the sales guy the a picture from their website. It came out looking different and he said their machine does not personalise at the bottom like on the picture I showed him. I made him aware that I did not like how it came out and he convinced me that it was okay. Today I call them to explain that I don’t like the diary I would like to exchange/refund. The lady I spoke to blamed me for my diary not coming out the way I wanted, she says I didn’t disclosed but I provided a picture. She said when I chose the colour on the book it shows that the personalisation is not at the bottom. Like hell I know how their machine works. She tried really hard to blame me whereas they did not disclose beforehand that their matching only prints at the top.

The most shocking experience of my life. The so called manager at Typo Mall of Africa store is more interested in arguing with clients than actually resolving complaints with curtesy. She lacks so many things that make up a manager that I am in disbelief wondering if she is even aware what managing a high end store in a high end mall means? No emotional intelligence, no sound reasoning capacity, no interest for an amicable resolution. The lady is extremely argumentative and petty. She almost talks with customers like she is in a pub! I hope more customers come forward one day and she is exposed for bringing the store into disrepute, you cannot bring straatmait tendencies to work!!! Her store messed up with my previous purchase and they kept me for about 45 minutes trying to rectify. Eventually they tell me to give it 1 to two days and my App will update correctly. This never happened and I then called the store. I could not believe how her story and tone changed, her attitude escalating to condescending, arrogant, down right rude, argumentative, defensive and all sorts of unbecoming conduct instead of owning up and being courteous. You could just hear that there is a lot of illiteracy and self absorption in her, she really puts my gender and race to shame. She needs to be taken for Customer Service training and trained to understand that customers will come frustrated with complaints, hers is to be empathetic, listen attentively and allow the customer to rant, reassure the customer that her primary goal is to try and find a solution of at least consult, be courteous and remorseful. Ultimately how you treat a customer will eventually calm them down and they will respect you for your patience, empathy and time. If you are dismissive, defensive, dish arrogance and are victim blaming an already irrate customer, what is that really???

I was supposed to receive my package via DPD LASER COURIERS . apparently my parcel has been delivered how ever the courier never reached out to me to say my package has arrived. when contacting TYPO / COTTON ON THEY DO NOT WANT TO HELP AS MY PACKAGE HAS APPARENTLY BEEN DELIVERED. I have always bought from Typo and cotton on and this will be my last because of this horrible service received

Wrong item sent in order. Clearly you aren't employing staff that can read and see. Now I am sitting here over 20 minutes on the line hanging on only for the call to be dropped and over an hour on the online chat only for it to keep going offline but I'm not offline. I am now inconvenienced because of your incompetence. What a disgrace, never thought I'd feel this way about Typo. PATHETIC

Please help me get my money back… I made a purchase at Gateway and was told it declined, however the money went off my account. I then paid with another card. I have called, emailed, been into a branch and almost 3 weeks later and can’t get my money back!

Went in to purchase a sale item at at Typo Pietermaritzburg only to be told they have the item but cannot sell it to me because it's being shipped to Springfield! I have to now drive all the way to durban to purchase a 50 rand item. I called Springfield and spoke to Dimpho who has asked her regional manager Maya for assistance and still I have no feedback while I wait at liberty mall in the heat with my 2 kids to purchase an item that is in store.. but in a box that they don't want to open. Whatever happened to customer service. Looking at these reviews on HelloPeter I see this is not the franchise to shop at. Very disappointing.

Haven't been at Typo for a few years, was unfortunately very disappointed, quality has dropped to cheap Chinese, store in acess park is disorganized and has no prices on anything. Products are definitely not what they used to be. Capitalism has ruined yet another good business. May as well go to the Chinese shops. Cheaper and basically the same thing.
