If there was an option to select a zero out of five I would definitely choose the zero. Reserved and paid a reservation fee for 7 people and upon making the reservation the lady I spoke with communicated that what ever amount left over after our dining experience would then be refunded to me. Upon arriving my friends and I decided that we would only have ****tails and oysters then leave. We then received the most rude and undermining white man who throughout the conversation either didn’t know answers to our questions or insinuated that what we were telling was not the truth. After failing to answer our questions he then bought a man by the name of Washington to our table who promised the refund would be processed. That was the 7th of October. Receiving my refund has been a hassle and a total disaster as I am still waiting till this day for them to provide me with concrete answer as to when I will be receiving my refund. I keep on making phone calls and I’m thrown with empty promises.

Booked a table for 12 and then was requested a deposit. However, this is the industry norm I went there personally to explain that we are 12 people 6 of the guests are international guests and would be paying for the bill hence that the deposit is waived. The General Manager's attitude and understanding of the situation were such as "does it look like I care". The fact that I went there in person was a clear indication that we are for sure coming. It is sad to see an establishment like this not see the bigger picture and effectively lost a sale of R15k or more. Any of my future international guests visiting Cape Town will definitely not be taken here nor my friends and I.

Good day. On the 22th of October my partner and I went to Utopia dining elevated Cape Town. We ordered our meal and our ****tails. When we were done the Waiter canceled my payment and said they normally take 10% tip. That is unethical.

I am very disappointed. I booked for my fiancé’s birthday a month ago. We got to the table and we ordered wine about 10 mins after arriving. We waited for service but no one came to help. We poured out own wine. More than 30 minutes later our waiter arrived and we wanted to order the 5 course menu. Then they told us there is not enough time left for the menu. I am really disappointed. I really wanted this night to be special. Now we have to leave without food.
