I have asked numerous times for my old Virgin Insurance to be cancelled. They just dont do it. There are also no contact numbers anymore so you cant email or call. I am at my wits end with them.

This Virgin insurance made me switch my funeral cover from Discovery funeral plans to their Virgin funeral plan without any waiting periods. My father died and they refused to pay. These guys are a fraud. The consultant who was selling the cover was under trained and he is responsible for the inaccuracies and Virgin Mobile refused to payout the claim. I am going to take that sale call recording and release it to the public for this. The consultant agreed that my parents was going to be covered at same amount as my cover, it turned out that it was actually cover at 50% of my cover.

I am paying for virgin money value added insurance every month but when I try to call them I can’t find them, it’s like they don’t exist. I need help to get hold of them because it’s like I am paying a ghost when I need their services I can’t find them but they don’t forget to debit my account

Policy Number: VRG0008026886 It's been two weeks and no one wants to help me with the policy. I got an email saying I canceled my policy which I didn't. I just asked and have been asking for more then a year now that they remove one member who is not alive anymore. Virgin Money still deducts from my account even after I told them to remove the one person, they still refuse to pay out my claim a year later. This per son doesn't respond to my mails nor calls Alison Ferraris Head: Life Products AIG Life South Africa I have sent her over 12 emails but still no response.

Policy number:VRG0008026886 I took the funeral cover for 9 people. I asked the guy assisting me and he said parents are immediate family. I called when my dad passed away and they refused to pay saying it's not a year yet. I then asked them in August 2018 to remove him from the policy. They still haven't removed him and I have been charged for a year now. When i call they say they will sort it out. I honestly hate being insured with Virgin Money. They claim to assist yet they don't . I will rate the 0/10

On the 25th of March 2019 I was debited more than the agreed premium. When I called in on the 26th and spoke to Mumtaz Ishmail, she advised me that there was an additional benefit for my father in law(FIL). About a month earlier I called in and requested for a quote for my FIL and I was assisted by a guy named Thabang. He couldn’t help me immediately and he called me back with the price. I did not take up the cover with him. To my surprise, he added the benefit and I was charged for it. Mumtaz advised me that I will be refunded but she firstly have to take up with the underwriters and other senior people involved to go through my complaint. It has been over a week and I have not received any concrete feedback on the matter. On April 2 I was called by Thuli who had taken my details down on the 1st of April because the system was offline. She advised me that Mumtaz will call me back before end of business day (2 April)as she is awaiting feedback from the technicians. For a week? What is taking so long to listen to the call and process the refund? Another thing which I have a problem with is the fact that only Mumtaz can handle my query. On more than one accession when I call for an update and not get her, no one can assist me. They want to transfer me to her or ask me to wait for her call. Thuli advised me that she cant assist because she does not know about my query as the notes are not update. She can only see that the benefit has been removed but she does not know why. How is this customer service when only one person can assist on a query? Should the notes not be updated at every interaction so that any person can assist your clients? What happens if she is absent? On leave? Do I need to wait for her return? May I please be contacted and get my refund bac****

I've been trying to remove someone from my death policy for over 5 months now, every time I call they tell me it's been escalated someone will call me. How hard can it be to really remove someone from someone's cover but virgin money has been failing to attend to my request, I'm even thinking of canceling my policy with them.

They promise funeral claims payment in 48 hours. I submitted claim with ALL required documentation on 14/01 - still no feedback on inquiries, complaints and follow ups. Both telephonic and via their e-mail facility.
