Business: Warwick & Quinlan Person involved: Bernice Warwick I entered into an agreement with Warwick & Quinlan for the manufacture and delivery of a custom dining table. Payment history R6,750 paid for the original pine table, delivered to Johannesburg on 04 September 2024. Within weeks, I reported defects: poor staining and severe cracking of the tabletop. On 06 January 2025, Bernice Warwick quoted R7,450 to replace the top with oak due to the defects. I paid the oak modification in full: R3,800 on 09 January 2025 R3,650 on 14 April 2025 Total paid: R14,200 Failure to deliver Despite repeated assurances over several months, the revised table was never delivered. In March 2025, I personally flew from Johannesburg to Parow to visit Warwick & Quinlan’s warehouse to check on progress. At the warehouse, the table could not be located. I was assured it would be delivered to Johannesburg within 7 days and that resources would be allocated to finalise it. This did not happen. Bernice Warwick later claimed the table had been couriered, but: No valid waybill was ever provided. Goeie Hoop Couriers confirmed that no table was received from Warwick & Quinlan for delivery to my address. Warwick & Quinlan’s own communications confirmed that both the original and revised tables remain in their possession. Refund issues After months of delays, shifting timelines, and contradictory explanations, I cancelled the order. Bernice Warwick stated that a 20% cancellation fee would apply. Based on her own terms: Amount paid: R14,200 20% cancellation fee: R2,840 Refund due: R11,360 Despite written confirmation and repeated follow-ups, the refund has not been processed. Outcome This has been an extremely stressful and expensive experience involving: Delivery failures Misrepresentation regarding courier dispatch Inconsistent explanations Non-delivery of paid-for goods Failure to honour a confirmed refund I am now pursuing formal remedies through the appropriate legal and consumer protection channels. I am posting this review to warn other consumers and to request that Warwick & Quinlan immediately refund the outstanding amount of R11,360. My brother living in Cape Town offered to take the furniture in my place but they instead moved location and they have been giving them around since.

My first experience with them was great. My current experience is absolutely horrific. I have paid a deposit for a table and have been trying to find out what has happened to my table. Currently they are ignoring me. I am not sure if I am going to get my table at this point or if they have run away with my money. STAY AWAY!

We couldn’t be happier with our purchases from Bernice and her team, she went over and above to help us with our short lead time even came out to site to measure. Will be using them again

I contracted Warwick & Quinlan Custom Furniture to manufacture several custom items: a TV unit, bench seating, a dining table, and bedside tables with stone tops. What I received was a combination of incorrect, unfinished, damaged, and defective products that caused massive inconvenience and wasted time. I’ve paid Bernice close to R50k for all this work. She simply walked away from the responsibility of completing the job. Doors on tv unit do not align and close properly. Bench seating hinges have come off already and not aligned. Dining room table legs have cracked. Side table stones were agreed to be Eezi Quartz yet she delivered a B-grade stone that was not agreed upon. She confirmed that the correct stone was ordered only for yet another incorrect stone to be provided. I was subsequently told she would not be delivering what we agreed upon, a direct breach of our agreement. She also handed over all communication to an associate, Chantal, who through no fault of her own, had very little context or ability to assist. I have proof and witnesses of everything that was agreed upon and will be taking this matter to the small claims court. A year has almost passed with the matter unresolved. Bernice will lure you in with promises. She went missing for weeks and ghosted my calls and messages. I had to visit her at her workshop in person to try and resolve issues, and in a face-to-face setting she has all the reassurance and apologies, with absolutely no follow through. I absolutely do not recommend them. Please stay away. And if you think this is some difficult client, just go read the other reviews on Hello Peter and Google. There is a pattern here. Bernice will make big promises, not deliver then subsequently play the victim. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH WARICK AND QUINLAN.

I paid a R11 900 deposit to Warwick & Quinlan for slip-cover dining chairs. The chairs were advertised by them using another businesses images. The chairs were never delivered, as the company later admitted they could not make them to the promised specifications. A full refund was promised, but even after multiple follow-ups and the refund period expiring, the payment has still not been made. Extremely disappointed with the broken promises and lack of follow-through.

I ordered the Luna Headboard on 31 July 2025 and have been following up ever since — with no real progress or transparency from this company. On 3 October, I was told that my order had been shipped, but when I asked for a tracking or shipping reference, I received no response. After contacting them again, I was told that it actually had not been shipped and that they would “send it soon.” It’s now been over three months since I placed my order, and I still haven’t received the product or any clear, honest communication. This level of service is completely unacceptable. I feel misled and extremely disappointed. I would caution others to be very careful before ordering, as my experience has been nothing but frustration and empty promises.

We purchased two sideboard tables from Warwick (dealt with Bernice and Shantal)l which arrived both damaged and much later than promised. From there, the experience only worsened. We were given several different and conflicting explanations for the damage—none of which seemed consistent and were assured replacements would be sent. This never happened. Instead, we spent months sending messages and making calls that went unanswered. My wife’s messages were read but ignored, and her calls went unanswered. When I eventually got through, I was promised a quick resolution. That promise, like all the others, was never kept. After a few messages, the company stopped responding altogether. It is now eight months later, and we still have two damaged sideboard tables. The repeated shifting of stories, lack of follow-through, and complete disregard for customer care have been deeply frustrating. This has not only been a poor shopping experience, it has been a clear example of how not to treat paying customers. I would not recommend ordering from them.

I ordered a custom piece from Warwick and Quinlan and was very happy with the result. The design was exactly what I wanted. The finish was clean and professional. Their team was helpful and easy to deal with. Communication was quick and clear. The quality of the wood and materials really stood out. Delivery was on time and smooth. The piece fits perfectly in my space. I’ve already had a few compliments on it. I would definitely recommend Warwick and Quinlan
