I bought a Weber Q200 BBQ and stand from Hirsch's Hillcrest (in Durban) a few weeks ago for about R10k. After 2 weeks and 2 uses, I noticed the inside (underside) of the lid was cracking and I could cause the inside coating to delaminate using just fingernail, lightly. The near identical Weber BBQ braai had for about 10 years showed none of this material deterioration. I followed up with Hirsch's immediately and after some toing and froing I today got an email forwarded from Weber saying the photos show no defect in the material. The Weber rep who came to inspect asked what temperature I have been using the BBQ at. Strange question. He also took a video and sent it to Weber JHB and confirmed that he can see and feel the cracking. Think twice about using Hirsch's if you thought like I did that they would back you up if their suppliers got an assessment re material defects wrong. Reconsider if you think that Weber products are superior and their support competent.

Been a loyal customer of Weber for close to 30 years. Owned 4 grills in total. The last one I purchased at Tafelberg Furniture in Umhlanga in 2022. The grill is completely falling apart. Initially paintwork started to peel of and wasn't too concerned as grill was ok. Now we seeing the bowl rust in many spots as well as the stand clips. Purchased what was called the premium grill range.However very far from it. Seems like Weber has become premium price and inferior product.

After battling with five major outlets for Weber Braai equipment with no or little success and attention to my problem of finding a charcoal grate for my Weber, I decided to approach Weber SA directly. The Country Manager Sales contacted me right away! And what an example of good customer service! The people running this business is sensitive, well versed in customer relations and walk the talk. Impressive and what an example to the rest of retail in SA. Thank you very much for restoring hopes again!

Huge shout out to Weber SA!!! I won a weber at a local store and when setting it up realised that it was missing a piece. The shop where i won it from wanted no responsibility and the rep from the company who sponsored it did not even bother getting back to us. I got hold of Weber SA and within a week I had the missing piece in my hands, couriered to my door at absolutely no cost to me. Weber SA I am beyond impressed at your customer service and very grateful! Thank you so much!
