I came in with 4 tyres that had 0% leakage I asked them to strip tyres from one set of rims to another....next day of a sudden my tyres have leaks and owner aggressively tell me that i meed to buy new tyres

On the 28th of November 2020 I purchased a Hyundai Santa Fe 2007 model vehicle from Mr Christo Groenewald, owner of Wheelsandmore Automotive, Oudewerfhof, Cape Town. The vehicle was purchased for an amount of R97,500.00 and I paid cash for it. Mr. Groenewald assured me that the vehicle was in “a spotless and pristine condition” and he did not disclose any problems or issues that the vehicle might have to me. On the 26th of April 2021, I experienced a breakdown with the vehicle after the engine was intermittently cutting out due to diesel starvation. My mechanic collected the vehicle at my house to investigate the fault. After a few days of troubleshooting the problem, the mechanic removed the diesel pump and discovered two rags left behind inside the diesel tank. The rags were causing the fuel starvation and it also accelerated the wear on the diesel pump. On the 4th of May 2021 I telephonically contacted Mr. Groenewald to report the issues to him. He told me that he did not offer any warranties or guarantees as the vehicle was sold “voetstoots”. He further told me that it was not his problem as the vehicle had a “full-service history” and that he was not responsible for what was happening. I ended up paying an amount of R7100.00 for the repair costs of the vehicle. On Sunday 23rd May 2021 I experience another breakdown with the vehicle. This time around, the fanbelt snapped. The vehicle failed to start. Upon investigating the fault, it is further found that the cambelt also snapped and that the valves in the engine were bent as result of it. The repairs require a complete engine overhaul at a cost of R18,100.00 . I contact Mr. Groenewald to report the latest issue to him. He responds by sending me a threatening text, saying that he will hand me over to his lawyer. He then blocks my number so that I cannot communicate with him further. I firstly give this business Wheels and more based in Florida Johannesburg R4500 worth of business along with 2 other customers giving them business acquainted to myself but they cant assist me with a simple exchange on my front brand new tyres. The boss continues to say he will calculate the difference on exchange for the tyres for the past 3 days this week and yet still no response or feedback! Customer service is useless at this shop, management levels of service is really low and I will not support them further. P.S. and this was after I was not advised that I selected for them to put the incorrect tyres on the rear rims where the tyres were literally sliding off the mag wheel while driving and the car had to go back to their shop for those tyres to be replaced by a recommended tyre for that particular rim size. Not happy nor pleased at all!

DO NOT BUY WHEES FROM THIS MAN U PAY THEY SAY THEY GNG FIT IT FOR I BUT THEY BLOW YOUR TYES DONT APPLOGISE AND THEY EXPECT YOU THEN TO BUY NEW TYRES FORM THEM look at the type of response u get when trying to sort the problem out with owner they dont reply they are absolutely pathetic

Made an appointment with Martin to view a car advertised on Gumtree, but every time you ask to view there is a story. An appointment was made but of course nobody showed. Another stupid story like: I had an emergency but not telling what emergency. Please Gumtree buyers stay away from Wheelsandmore as they don't exist in the telephone directory and don't have the cars they advertise to show you. Must be more to it then one thinks!! DON\T MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WITH THEM PLEASE!!!"
