July 2021 I was invited to a presentation at The Protea Hotel, Durbanville. I sat through the presentation and joined World Vacations, on the basis that they will rent out my available points. I paid a deposit of R2000.00 at the time, and was told that the balance will be deducted from my first rental. I sent all the required documents eg, point statement and proof of payment. I have not heard from World Vacations ever again, up until I was so lucky to be invited to a presentation again at the same venue in May 2024. I explained to Ashwell at the time what happened and was told to contact Karen. I resent all my documents to Karen, explained the situation and she was going to revert back to me. It so happen that I am the one continually following up, without any joy. Their number listed on google go straight to voicemail and neither Karen nor Ashwell answer their phones. I eventually got hold of Devon Chetty, who assured me that Karen will get back to me the next day, which she did. Needless to say, still having the same issues getting hold of her and still no answer as to what happened to my R2000 that I paid in 2021. I requested a refund last year already, as they did not hold up their end of the contract and the fact that there were no correspondence ever from them. Today, 31 July 2025, I tried calling all their numbers, but to no avail.

Hello I would just like to tell you how impressed I am with World Vacations. I went to see them at the Menlyn Boutique Hotel in March. It is not everyday that a company does exactly what they say they are going to do. My wife and I wanted to go to Umhlanga Sands but it was over R22 800 for a week for our family of 5 and we simply could not afford it. Marsan explained everything to us and showed us what the company could do for us. We were hesitant at first to join the club because of past experiences of friends of ours that have points or timeshare who have had expensive and bad experiences with no joy. We decided that on seeing what the company had to offer on a live demonstration, being cash only, with no levies what so ever and a vastly discounted rate of up to 75%, we decided that this is the only way we would be able to travel in the future. Since we have joined we have already booked Magalies Park resort for a 6 sleeper unit for the end of July for only R4 750 which is almost 80% off of what the resort is charging the public and also Club Mykonos in Langebaan for October this year, a four sleeper unit, it's a place we never thought we could go to as we are pensioners and that's more than 60% off of what we would pay if we where non members. I encourage family's who want to travel and are on a budget but want to experience the best holidays, join World Vacations, it's the best decision you will ever make. P Van Der Merwe and family

My wife and I purchased the LIFETIME membership from World Vacation on the 14 September 2023 after a sensational convincing presentation in Ballito that met our personal needs especially with regards to Levies of our Time Share that we own. My wife and I were both convinced beyond any reasonable doubt that they will take over the payment of our time-share levies completely out of our hands and will never form part of our obligation or be handed down to our estate after our demise. Due to the special offer that was only available for the day we paid for it immediately to qualify for the discounted special. We followed through as instructed to Client Services to finalise the registration. Client Services are constantly not available with auto reply. Client Services appear clueless with regards to the presentation and the promises made by the Sales Reps. We had to make numerous calls over several days to have our registration finalised on the system so that we can start utilising our benefits according to the agreement. The registration was finalised on the 20 September 2023. From the 21st September 2023 we were anxious about the validity of this company due to the lack of communication from Client Services. Only on the 5th October 2023 did she request our Time Share Documents which was emailed to her timeously. No further communication was received to date from Client . We are desperate to obtain information of our Levy payment To our Time Share Resort which was promised at the presentation for the years 2023 and 2024. Being tired of forwarding messages via "whats app" to Client Services and the automated replies we managed to obtain a new contact address from the web site. We obtained a response and forwarded all required information. A response was received indicating that the time share unit for the week was advertised in their e news letter. An email was received from World Vacation indicating that levies will be paid in advance contrary to what was promised at the presentation. Currently our levies for both the years have not been paid to us to date. There are 3 other customers known to us that are in a similar situation purchased during the same period as us. Further it was cheaper to book our vacations via other web sites and the promise of WV bookings did not materialise. We have these in writings.

You will never get your money back from this company. After admitting that cancellation was done within prescribed time, they refuse to refund, apparently Mr Claasens is too ill to make a payment. the company has responded to a letter of demand from an attorney agreeing that refund is due. A second demand as gone unanswered. Please think carefully about dealing with this company, do your homework !

You will never get your money back from this company. After admitting that cancellation was done within prescribed time, they refuse to refund, apparently Mr Claasens is too ill to make a payment. the company has responded to a letter of demand from an attorney agreeing that refund is due. A second demand as gone unanswered. Please think carefully about dealing with this company, do your homework !
