Recently won a competition at Yfm, sent all documents and proof needed to claim prize money - nothing has been done. The email of tge prize department now say they out of office and that it might take 8 weeks! YFM COMPETITIONS ARE ALWAYS PROBLEMATIC WHEN ITS TIME TO GIVE PEOPLE THEIR PRIZES!

Good day, I don't know if I should go public with this or can it be resolved quietly and quickly. I won a competition the McDonald's women's fifa world cup in July. T&C say payments will made between 6-8 weeks. Received communication that payment will be made on 20 October I sent through my banking details and still haven't received anything yet. Mathapelo was not taking my calls or responding to emails. Then on the 24th she sends me a email saying that the had system issues so my banking details were removed from the system so the new payment date would be the 20th of November. I smell fowl play here and if the error is on their side, why don't the rectify this asap. No communication was made before I started calling them over and over again and I feel like this is ********* and disgusting that a huge radio station could do this to their listners. Another strange thing was that I got an email from someone claiming that they are also waiting for the payment, however, I don't understand where they got my email address. So I am honestly not happy at all. They need to rectify the issue asap.

On the 16th of June, i had entered a competition ran by YFM and Nedbank, i was selected as a Finalist and was called live on air, where they announced me as a winner of R5000, sadly til date, i have not received my money. I had to chase them for them to take my banking details. They told me to wait 8 weeks for payment to be processed, their Ts&Cs state that cash payments take 4-6 weeks to be processed its been 10 weeks now. I emailed them and they said they will pay me on the 20th of August, now they are singing a different tune, they telling me they will pay me on the 20th of September. They have lost a loyal listener, i will never ever partake in any of their competitions

I rate them 0 YFM is playing with listeners'feelings. They have competitions and when it's time to pay winners they play hide and seek. They pospone till you give up. YFM is so disgusting, they only do competitions to recruit more listeners while they know they are not genuine. Especially Mathapelo Mkhwente who will ignore your email.

In all honesty YFM in my opinion is the best station we have in the country. I listen to the station daily without fail. My problem started in October of 2017 when by I entered a competition called the re-up survey in which YFM was giving away prizes as it was their birthday month. To my luck I won one of those prizes of which was 20gigs worth of data from Vodacom. I then got a call a few days later being told that they will transfer the data into my sim card, we discussed that my sim card is a contract number of which they said it shall not be a problem. October went by and I did receive anything. November came and went and I still did not receive anything to my surprise now the number I had been calling the station on stopped working. I then sent Vodacom an email to see if they had any answers of which they said it had never been put in. In December I managed to get time to go to the studios of which at reception they called a person called Ontlotlile Kalebe of which he responded that he is on leave but as soon as he gets back he will sort everything out. I was also advised to send him a email at the time just so he does not forget, of which I did. In January I sent a follow up message. Till this day after numerous emails I have not gotten a single reply nor any kind of response. I'm very disappointed in that there is a competition where you win something then when you are meant to get your willing you are ignored as if you are a theif in a holding cell. It's almost a year later. I'm very disappointed in my beloved station.
