I implore everyone, even if you are only considering debt review as an option, to be very careful about the company you choose to start working with. We had a terrible experience with Your Debt Friend. We enquired about the process and made it very clear that if our bond could not be part of the process, we would not be interested in Debt Review. They promised us that would be okay, first lie. They made us sign documents saying they needed it signed to be able to find out whether we were indebted, 2nd lie. After they came back to us they told us the bond could not be included, so we said we were not interested. After wanting us to pay their costs, which we refused, they finally allowed us to part ways. We decided to sell the house and reset our finances, which we managed to do. Just to discover a year later that we were listed on the Credit companies that we are listed as being under debt review. Turns out, YDF runs a money making racket tricking innocent ppl into debt review processes so they can exploit these ppl. For the past year I have been battling to clear our name, with them actually adopting an attitude of stuff you and being very rude and dismissive of our situation, which is as a direct result of their greed. Please be very careful about who you consider taking to, make sure it is not YDF. I am sure there are very good debt councilors, but not this one.

This company is useless, unrealistic, and greedy. I have been using their service for years and now as i am about to be done, they refuse to send me my latest statement with unreasonable conditions yet still want my money. I am even about to loose an opportunity somewhere because of them!

I have been with this company since 13/09/18 and was promised when I entered the programme that I could pay off my creditors and after paying 2 of my creditors off on my own and with the small payments made to them by YDF. I was declined to clear balance directly. Upon they ignored the fact of what was discussed on the initial agreement,I then refused to continue with the debt review and they refused to cancel . August this year I was approached by another company and they advised they could remove me from debt review and I had been advised that I had been removed and I would get a 17W form which I have not and my creditors had not been notified that I had exited debt review neither. I have emailed them with no response

I have been under debt review since September 2018, upon signing up Mariam the consultant told me I would out of debt in 2 to 3 years ,she also assured me that I could pay off my debtors directly apart from making payments to them and at the time .I felt it suitable for me to go under debt review,I was never late / skipped payment prior to going under debt review and as she advised this would save me 60% on my debt payments/interest .I felt it was a good deal ,I've paid off 2 of my creditors no thanks to Your Debt Friend and as Covid hit ,my financial situation went down as well.I am now trying to recover and want to clear my other creditors and now I'm being declined.I asked if I could pay additionally and was advised I could , initially I was told there would be an additional fee and this was quite upsetting as here I am trying to rid myself of debt and they charge me more.I was never told of their fees involved as I would then have declined as I was managing my debt quite well before.I made an additional payment and to my surprise boom additional fees and the agreed amount was not paid to the creditor as agreed,"your debt friend "more like "your debt enemy" with counselors like them who needs enemies and I would never recommend anyone to them as they lie and scheme to make the poor struggle more.I feel like I'm stuck in a lifelong sentence with these liars

Horrible customer service.. Didn't update a customer contact details so they been calling me. Then whatsapp a person but whomever I replied to, saying I'm not the person they looking for, they got rude after realizing this isn't the right person they were looking for. Lack of experience dealing with people and communication s****s
