So, my insurance insisted that i use this USELESS company for the repair of my BMW's Turbo. Waited 3 weeks for the quote submission to the insurance, ended up a month later to have the police assist me in obtaining my vehicle. I was told the vehicle had been repaired, however, the day after collecting my vehicle, the exhaust fell off. With much frustration they sent someone to fix it, the very next day the vehicle started leaking water, again sent someone to "fix" it. After 3 weeks the breather pipe was broken (also part of the so called repair), this was repaired, and now the vehicle is in limph mode. The turbo is broken again. The insurance is insisting for us to keep taking the vehicle back to these *********** people. The owner Buddy doesnt seem to give a **** about anyone or anything, just seems like wants the money.

Prices are affordable. Job was done in good time (surprisingly). I got my bakkie back in time for a road trip with my family. Thank you to the owner and team.

Zakspeed. Oh where to begin. Our car broke down in January, after some time and allot research we found out our cars diesel pump needs some TLC, ( we took the pump to Zakspeed to test the pump) whereby Buddy the owner or manager whom ever he is there, confirmed that it is the pump that broke BUT they can fix it. We arranged to take the car to Zakspeed on the 25th of January. After numerous calls to them everytime it was something els that was a problem and not the diesel pump. When you call Buddy answers the phone. He then make you hold the line (waisting your airtime) then he takes other calls. I myself have made numerous calls weekly for updates. The last call I made myself was in February, he came up with so many excuses, I then told him its been a month and that they should stop fooling arround with the car, he got so offended and started yelling and swearing (now that I found rude as that is not the way to speak to a lady. After that my father in law took things into his own hands. We have made weekly calls to them to find out the progress of the car and yet again something els was wrong again. They have sent the car to an auto electrician with out our concent, we only found out about this when we contacted them for an update on our car. After this we found out where our car was, we made our way there to find out the auto electrician tried contacting them to notify them that everyting electronically is fine, they did not answer there calls, we then contacted them then and there and yet again buddy answered and came up with a nother excuse that their truck broke down and as soon as it is fixed they will collect the car. A few days went by before we contacted again, this time something els was wrong ( not once were they straight forward with what the actual problem is). Buddy yet again made us wait when we called, now this is month 2 already. After getting some legal advice we contacted Zakspeed whereby Buddy informed us that the car is with a mechanic in Boksburg ( yet again did not ask for our concent to send the car there). Hubby and my father in law then went down to Zakspeed to find out what is going on, Buddy again said the car is still with the mechanic, hubby asked where this mechanic was and Buddy said the only thing he can tell him is that the mechanic is in pemona ( now pemona is in Kempton Park - not Boksburg). Hubby made a call to find out if he is allowed "by law"to know where his car is, he then got the feedback he was looking for, Buddy then quickly wrote down the adress where our car was. On arrival hubby and my father in law spoke to the mechanic, he informed them that its only the timing that was out on the recon pump that was put in by Zakspeed. And that he will start with our car as soon as his done. This was wednesday 11 April2018. Friday 13 April 2018 the mechanic contacted my father in law and confirmed the car was done, Zakspeed only went to collect our car late the following week. We gave them a nother week to finish what they need to. My father in law went that friday to se what the progress was and took a picture of the engin, Buddy promised that our car wil be done the monday, tuesday 24th of April yet they have not touched our car, since the friday. Buddy had more excuses that followed. We then followed with legal actions whereby a letter was sent to ********** they have not read our email that was sent the previous day. The guy we got to help us with our legal actions against Zakspeed contacted then to inform them about the mail, Buddy answered the phone yet again and like always makes you hold the line whilst he assist other clients and takes other calls, the eventually answered the call and when the guys that was assisting us with legal matters explained to Buddy what is going on and that he will have to answer back on the mail and give feedback on our car with a valid quotation he got defensive and started swearing saying we have car problems and we are welcome to take our car somewhere els. He was doing that c*nt a favour, (talking about hubby) he them went on swearing like a maniac, he then walked away from the call. Our legal guy caled him back and notified him that we will come and uplift oir vehicle that same day which was the 25th April exactly 3 months later. When we got our car we saw that they have stripped our old diesel pump to pieces and that allot of the covers and parts from the engin is dumped in the boot. The car on the inside was so dirty of the mechanics hands it was black everywhere. The took out their pump they replaced and left everything like that in the boot. I have never seen such bad service from any place before. Buddy keeps lying and does not even remember what was his previous lies. They have had our car for 3 months and there was no solution to our car only more problems. I will not recomend them to anyone ever as this is such bad service and once you complain about the bad service you get sweared from all directions and called names. Be warned for these people they only cause harm

My Isuzu KB300 dteq bakkie gave a problem of erratic idling and white smoke. Phoned Zackspeed Diesel Power and told them that Im sure all your customers tells you this but will you be able to resolve the problem quickly because this is my primary vehicle, having in mind that if he tells me it will take a week or so then I will try my luck somewhere else. He responded "yes sir, sure sir you can bring your car" Took it in monday the 14th August 2017 and got it back friday the 25th. The reason for me writing this review is due to the poor customer service and poor workmanship, after leaving my bakkie with them I phoned in once daily to find out the diagnostics and cost involved because I have arrangements to make for alternative transport etc. They were able to give me a diagnostics on Wednesday that same week and after being quoted i gave the go ahead and they said I can have my vehicle on Friday. Friday came and the promise became Monday, then Tuesday, then Wednesday, then Thursday and eventually Friday was the accurate promise. If they told me from the beginning it will take this long, they wouldn’t have had my car then. After receiving on Friday, i took on the trip i had postponed on only to find out that the car is leaking oil, so bad that the hole bottom of the car was covered in oil and it was dripping of the spare wheel at the back, I had to fill up with three pins of oil, after closer investigation by myself I found the oil to be leaking from the tapped cover which had clear indication of being sealed with silicone, now Im no mechanic but I know that every mechanical part that needs to be sealed, there is a gasket or O-ring for that and that if a car has 370 000km on the clock, you won't re-use the old gaskets. Paying over R20 000.00 for repairs you would expect not to have silicon used on your car. The next Monday I took it back and explained to them the problem and I must say, they were very welcoming and helpful. I requested the leak be fixed and engine and bottom to be cleaned which they did. They fixed the leak but i took it back again the next day because they broke the turbo boost controller vent port while repairing oil leak which they repaired with Qbond glue, luckily I saw it. They acknowledged after taking it up with the mechanic and they replaced it. Just to mention, I am editing this post again as originally it was typed 2017 but never posted. Four months down the line I had to take my vehicle in again due to a diesel leak somewhere on the fuel pump which they have worked on. They fixed the leak. Now 5 months down the line my bakkie has a fueling problem, engine light is on and bad injector knocking sound and erratic idling again. Originally they reconditioned my fuel pump and all 4 injectors and I can almost guarantee the problem I'm having at the moment is related to those. Also my cars performance isn't the same after they worked on it. I regret every second taking my vehicle to them.
