I have bought a vehicle from A-Z motors in Feb 2025 with Finance from a well known bank. On enquiring my registration of the vehicle, they came with a lot of stories and eventually telling me that they don't have the NATIS documents and cannot obtain it from the owner. I am now a place where I need to hire an attorney to handle this case as they just left it there. They sold the vehicle *******ly in my opinion and a bunch of *******. DONT ever go buy a vehicle from them. It is May and my issue is still not sorted

I bought a bakkie in 2022 and a week after I bought while in my way to install a tracking device, it just stopped. I waited for their help the entire day. I started picking up signs that shows the car might have been in an accident before with some missing *****s. I took photos and ask them and they denied that the was never in an accident. It was just repainted. Now the car can’t move and I am so depressed.

I purchased a vehicle from Anton in February 2022. I collected the vehicle on the Saturday and on Monday I decided to exchange it for another one. There was nothing wrong with the 1st vehicle, I just felt that the other one would be a better purchase. They assisted me with the exchange without hesitation. Monica helped with all the bank arrangements and everything went smoothly. When the battery on the 2nd vehicle started giving problems 2 months later, they replaced with a new one without any hesitation or arguments! Excellent service from Anton (Sales agent), Monica (Finance) and Jan (Sales Manager). Always super quick to respond to emails and whatsapp messages...even after the sales was done!

I would like to praise AtoZ motors for the aftermarket service I am receiving. I bought my car from Pretoria north from Hennie Booyzen. If ever I need a second hand car , I would drive from anywhere in south africa to buy my car there.

I have bought a faulty vehicle, that left me stranded – woman alone – next to the road on many occasions.... This is what you can expect from an AtoZ Motors’ vehicle that you buy! The Ombudsman of the Dealership is not legit, as the emails does not deliver, and telephone number does not exist. They attempted to fix my car, I was not happy on receiving it back, and thereafter there was no assistance. They did not assist me in any way and always had the excuse of the ‘Boss’ not being there, and my salesman not working there anymore. So because I bought a **** car at their company, now that the salesman has left, they do not take responsibility for it. I would also leave if I was the salesman having to sell people dodgy cars that has been in an accident. After I’ve requested on the sale has it been in an accident, being told not at all – it was a very old lady who owned the vehicle and only drove in the city. The car has been basically wrecked and sold to me at a much overpriced amount. I had 2 dealerships do a “review” on the vehicle and reported that it was not roadworthy. I declared this with the dealership, and they did not take responsibility. My engine seized within 8 months of owning it, where it has been in my possession for not even a mere 5 months of this duration as they were fixing it. I have to pay for a vehicle which I spend more money on fixing it. It is EXTREMELY heavy on fuel and the axis is bent so wheel alignment will never be in order. The shocks are seized thus very unsafe to drive in that manner. They have sold a young girl (who does not know any better) a piece of junk which has left me stranded next to the road 4 times at night already. It is not safe at all to be left stranded next to the road, female alone, at night not knowing who to call for assistance as I travel far distances for work. I was petrified every time as you never know who will stop by you at night time, and what their intentions are when they do stop and see that there is a defenseless young girl waiting for someone to save her from the nightmares her car keeps on leaving her in. The dealership shows no compassion for their customers, and I am not the first to complain about this dealership. They just want to get rid of ****py cars and become rich, while the rest of us have to face the consequences of not feeling safe whilst being on the road. It does not help to try and communicate with the dealership. I am sure that they will be very helpful once they have trouble on their way, but they lack the humanity to assist when you have trouble on your way due to immoral sales that they provide. I’ve sent emails, which received no response, and phoned many times, with no assistance. It is people like these that makes the rest of the people be untrustworthy towards car dealerships, and make you not want to support small business owners. Go to the trusted “big named” company. Make the rich richer, and the poor poorer.... Vicious circle of life because you get dishonest money chasers in the world.

Recently I enquired about a vehicle that I saw advertised on the internet by A to Z Motors in Pretoria, Stormvoel road. The following is a summary of what transpired;

1. I went to see the vehicle on 12 November 2016 where I indicated my interest on the vehicle pending the following –

- Vehicle inspection. I indicated to the dealer that should the vehicle have structural damage I will not buy the vehicle

2. I therefore paid R1860 for an inspection to be conducted at Dekra Gezina, The inspection was carried out on the 21st November 2016

3. Based on the results I indicated to the dealer that I will not be buying the vehicle anymore

4. I therefore have been trying, with no joy, to receive my refund of the R5000 holding down deposit.

5. The dealer has up to so far refused to refund my money saying that they need to see the report that made me change my mind – I have asked them to inspect the vehicle themselves as I cannot just hand them the report that costs R1860 for free.

My offer to purchase was influenced by the following;

1. The vehicle was advertised as a 2012 model meanwhile it was actually first registered in 2011.

2. The dealer mentioned that they work with all the major banks and as such they are not allowed to sell accident damaged vehicles

Beware !!

i Bought a vehicle GWM 2.2L D/C 2009, went to you the dealership to fetch the vehicle on the 27th of May 2016.

The following things went wrong since then. Petrol leak 8th of June 2016 pipe replaced. Water leak on radiator & overheating, 22th of June 2016 Radiator replaced. Exhaust was loose and they fastened it. Water Leak and overheating again this time on the water pump, 7th of July 2016 water pump replaced. Slap or knock sound from the start ( i thought it was just winter colds) after receiving my vehicle back again the 7th the sound got worse, took it back 1st August , lifters were fixed. Took it back again on 24th August for the Clutch and gearbox, they replaced the thrust bearing. 29th August the car overheated again, and heat came from the gear lever. On the 31st August i drove to Menlyn from my home in centurion and a rattle sound appeared from the tires on my way there. They fetched the vehicle the next afternoon 1st September in Menlyn as i was afraid to drive further with the vehicle. They found that the left sides wheels where climbing off the vehicle as they were very loose and the heat from the gear lever was fixed by replacing the rubber on the lever. They cannot determine why the vehicle overheated again. Now the vehicle back in my possession for 4 days is leaking oil front left side of vehicle. The rubber on the gear lever is too thick and it’s a struggle to get the gear lock in place. I do not drive with the vehicle at the moment as I am afraid that something else will go wrong.

I am self-employed and through this process so far i couldn't get to all my appointments without a vehicle, as the vehicle wasn't in my possession half of the time as it was by you the dealership to get fixed. I am worried for my child and my life after the wheels almost came off of the vehicle whilst driving on the highway with my 4 year old with me in the vehicle. And i am relying on a proper vehicle and can’t wait for the next thing to happen. I don’t even want to drive with the vehicle to the shop afraid it might break. It only costs me money as i need to take off from work and paying R400 petrol towards my vehicle and a friend or parents vehicle for transport there and back every time, and toll fees of R7.80 double for both vehicles. I'm a single mother and can't rely on this vehicle for the next five years. This is my first vehicle I bought and finally can afford and i cry every day for the past 3 weeks because the vehicle is at a workshop most of the time.

The dealership does not want to take the vehicle back and clear my name.

The vehicle started with a clutch problem again on the 12th October, it still leaks oil drops every now and again. Overheats if i do drive around for a while. and water came out of my exhaust on the 14th of October. Slight knock sound while driving. Took the vehicle to GWM Centurion for a 101 Checkup, and the list of feedback i received is long. i burst into tears. i have another wedding next week and the 10th of december, i cant get to the weddings without asking for another vehicle, i cant premote my photography as i dont have a reliable vehicle to drive with afraid it might break. i signed up for a reliable vehicle and something i can be proud of, i didnt sign up for a vehicle thats broken half of the time or not in my posession. i am paying for something i cant drive with. Logged a complaint through the ombutsman and got reffered to many other departments till i finally recieved feedback and a ref nr from the Consumer Comission, now waiting for the next step.
