I will never recommend for a person to take your land rover to Acrotek, they are not honest people and just take your money. I needed to take my land rover discovery 3 back two times, and cost me just below R22000 to fix the gearbox and still its not sorted. I am so unhappy... NEVER NEVER take your vehicle to Paul at Acrotek Benoni.

Sadly having read some of these poor reviews my eyes have opened even more in disgust! On my latest order from Acrotek, I purchased new upper control arms and a windscreen water surveyor on the 21 Oct 20 which was a bad start to the order firstly however 3 days later my order was received by my mechanic. On the day of delivery my mechanic let me know that there was a leak in the windscreen water surveyor where he discovered a crack. He called Paul from Acrotek to let him know twice with out any reply back. I then myself called and left multiple whatsapps without any reply. It went on for about 3 week until Paul responded and came up with an excuse that his phone was broken... My mechanic was with me at the time when I called him of which he told me to send images of which I did and then also never got a response for another week until I called him to say whats up. Poor Attitude and Poor Service is all I can and in fact a crook! He tells me I must come and fetch a second hand one which would then cost me my time and fuel as Pamona is on the other side of the hood... I was then told that he cannot say his guys would have sent it like this and its between my mechanic and the courier service he uses who broke it... Not prepared to help at all... When I said then reimburse my money he refuses... Common crook and would not advise anyone to use them should they be treated the same way! Be Warned!

With this company what I saw was not what I got. The picture they gave was a complete lower tailgate. What they supplied was only part thereof. Although they acknowledged this they did not agree to any compensation

I got a quote from them for a new Landrover Discovery 3 V8 radiator. When dropping the vehicle off this morning it was confirmed that it is for a new radiator to be fitted. Upon collection this afternoon I noticed that the radiator is not new based on wear and tear markings. The staff insisted it is a new part and the more I pointed out marjs etc the more he insisted its new. He then offered me a 20% discount on the part price. I have taken pictures of the radiator as proof of the state of the part. NEVER TRUST THEM WITH YOUR VEHICLE. The charge new prices for used items

Acrotek - Sunnyvale Benoni - purports to be Land Rover specialists. In July 2018 I took one of my Freelander's for the auto gearbox to be repaired. The final cost to me was R54000.00 plus. This was paid in full without any problem. Within 300km's of the vehicle being returned, I experienced a problem. Not with the gearbox, but with the left front drive shaft. Acrotek had damaged the boot on the outer CV joint, and done a botched repair with a dollop of rubber type solution. This was noticeable when the vehicle was put on a ramp, but what was further noticeable was the botched repair on the inner CV joint whereby the boot having been split from the CV joint, was reattached using plastic cable ties. The original mode of holding the boot onto the CV joint is by metal tie. Grease was thrown from the CV joint all over the left side underneath the front of the vehicle, wheel arch, wheel, bulkhead, etc. etc. I contact Acrotek. They sent one of their people to view the problem. All this has been photographed. The verdict from their person was first of all, CV joint boots can't be repaired with a dollop of rubber and if I wanted the thing to be made right, I would have to pay. I argued that they had dismantled the thing to remove and refit the gearbox. This, is my opinion, should be done at their expense. The guy returned to Acrotek. The owner, Paul Verious, was off sick for the next 2 to 3 days. I contacted him when he was back at work, and stated my position. His reply was, They do not guarantee their work, and I must pay. I contacted what used to be the AA, as well as the Motor Industry Ombudsman, and the local Land Rover Main Dealer, plus other people in the CV joint repair industry, there was plenty of spoken condemnation of the botched repair, but nobody was prepared to back me for litigation. They did not want to go to court. Mr Verios said in a letter, that my vehicle was badly maintained. This I refute, as maintenance was nothing to do with him. The whole issue was his personnel's lack of expertise and care with a client's vehicle. MOI and the AA refused to back my claim for compensation from Acrotek, saying I should've taken the vehicle straight to them, and not waited for Acrotek. I did the repair myself, purchasing another drive shaft, and fitting same. There has been no problem since. The drive shaft in question, had only done between 60 - 70 thousand kilometers, and I stress that this was road kilometers. I find that Acrotek's attitude is appalling to say the least. How can you work on a vehicle, whatever you may be doing, remove and refit whatever, and not guarantee your work. In my opinion, Acrotek are robbers, to say the least. I wouldn't give them a pram to repair, nevermind a cherished vehicle. Sincerely L.R. Goodwin

I bought a slave cylinder for a Land Rover TD4 from LR Spares and a couple of months later it started leaking.
I contacted LR Spares and was told that Paul makes the decisions on warrantees and as he was overseas I had to wait for him to return. A week later I was still phoning and sending emails and despite Natasha doing her best to assist me, Paul ignored the issue and refused to phone me. I phoned and was eventually put through to him whereby he informed me that the part has to be sent to the supplier and if it was an LR Part, he will send photos to England to determine whether the guarantee will be honored. He mentioned that Land Rover will make every effort to repudiate the claim that I am basically wasting my time. If the sales person knew this was company policy why was my time wasted by telling me I have to wait for Paul's return?
I had to make numerous phone calls just to get a response from Paul, only to find out that a person 14 000km away will determine the outcome based on the photos, ridiculous!!!
This is a shocking lack of service and an effort to frustrate the customer in order not to honor the guarantee.

After lengthy Discussions with RMI as mediator, they offered me half of the purchase price in refund, which I accepted, but then they want to give me in CREDITS!! I do not want to buy from them how can I then use the credits?? For this matter RMI is also not a good mediator!! Will have to take this matter to the Small Claims Court!
I am truly unhappy with this!!
