This is the most DIRTIEST, FILTHIEST, SMELLIEST, MOULD-INFESTED, STUFFIEST, BED-BUG RIDDEN disgusting hotel I have ever come across. Their pictures Vs reality is appalling! Do not go there!!! You will regret it. The staff is as good just as terrible. All rooms AIRCONS don't work. It smells of pee... Bathroom looks like it was on an episode of HOARDERS! Literally booked myself elsewhere same time. Trivago n Booking.com should honestly have them removed off their listings.

Refunds! Refunds! Refunds! The service is disgusting, Its been 22 days I’ve been waiting for my refund. Everyday is a different story, today I spoke to Micaela and asked for the person that’s responsible for refunds, she gave me different stories that his on lunch, his on a call, in a meeting. And she ended up dropping my call when I asked for the person’s name. What is taking soo long for Albany Hotel to refund my money back?

Refunds! Refunds! Refunds! The service is disgusting, Its been 22 days I’ve been waiting for my refund. Everyday is a different story, today I spoke to Micaela and asked for the person that’s responsible for refunds, she gave me different stories that his on lunch, his on a call, in a meeting. And she ended up dropping my call when I asked for the person’s name. What is taking soo long for Albany Hotel to refund my money back?

We have booked before Covid on the 14th of February 2020. I have to explain that I need a refund because I had booked for a group of women and now some have died and some no longer interested. I had send proof and each time I phone I can't get hold of Said who they say is responsible for processing of our refund.

Worse accommodation ever. Check inn to find other people's clothes. Pay for parking. Out of the generosity of my heart I give your security money. Go to the garage at about 12 I'm asked for 100 to make a plan to allow me to take my car. So from check inn to check out I'm a prisoner living in Albany Hotel? It's against my rights to keep me here. Especially when this hotel is as pathetic as it is. The people that work here are just as pathetic. You don't have the right to keep a person here against their will. What happened to the new South Africa? I thought we had freedom. Your security had no problems taking my money but failed to tell me that the doors are shut. Pathetic all round except for Micayla. Not sure if I got the spelling right but she is the best part of this experience

We booked at this hotel just before lockdown and they have been giving us a round around about refunding us until we were told that they cannot refund us but can only give us a voucher and till date we have been sending emails to them and no responses or any communication of any sort about our voucher, I wouldn't really recommend anyone to book on this hotel is a big scam hotel they don't deserve to be on business

We booked at this hotel just before lockdown and they have been giving us a round around about refunding us until we were told that they cannot refund us but can only give us a voucher and till date we have been sending emails to them and no responses or any communication of any sort about our voucher, I wouldn't really recommend anyone to book on this hotel is a big scam hotel they don't deserve to be on business

I had the worst ever experience when booking through Booking.com at Albany Hotel in Durban. According to Booking.Com's website the Hotel looks very nice and also very affordable. Reaching your destination coming from a different province, having to live there for a few days is upsetting, not safe at all especially when traveling with children. I made a booking on Tuesday Evening and according to them they only took one night's money. We reached the destination just after 11 on Wednesday, 30 March 2022. When we got there seeing the location of the Hotel and also to find out they have no secure parking and that you have to park your car outside in the street was horrible. We went in and told them that we cannot book in there because it is not as described on booking.com, they told us we cannot get a refund. I am disgusted in the service because they know why they say no refund. Every customer that comes there cancels their accommodation because booking.com and the pictures of the Hotel is very misleading. They are refusing to refund my money and we did not even set foot in the hotel except for the reception of the hotel. DON'T EVER MAKE A BOOKING AT THIS HOTEL!!!! YOU WILL BE SORRY YOU DID BECAUSE EVEN IF IT JUST ONE NIGHT THEY ROB YOU OF YOUR MONEY AND I BELEVE THAT IS HOW THEY SURVIVE BECAUSE I AM SURE ALL THE HOLIDAY BOOKERS CANCEL AS SOON AS THEY ARRIVE THERE...... BOOKING.COM ARE IN THIS WITH THEM BECAUSE THEY OBVIOUSLY GET THEIR SHARE!! I never had issues with booking.com but there is no contact nr where you can call them on, when you chat to whoever it is never a live chat or they don't even respond.
