Great sales experience with amazing sales people who actually try to get you the best deal they can. Coming from another VW dealer that gave me such nonchalant energy and lackluster communication, the sales people at VW Alpine truly made me feel valuable to them. 10/10 experience and would recommend any day.

I am deeply troubled to share my experience with Alpine VW, Hillcrest. One particular staff member consistently uses offensive language and makes ****** remarks making me feel uncomfortable, disrespected, and unwelcome. I expect companies to foster inclusive and respectful atmospheres, especially for customers. What's even more concerning is that this staff member's behavior seems to be tolerated by management, as other staff members have quietly expressed similar concerns. It's clear that there is a lack of accountability and a need for better leadership and training. I strongly urge VW to take immediate action, addressing this issue. Until then, I will not be supporting this company and encourage others to do the same. We deserve better, and so do our communities.

Watch out for Alpine Volkswagen Hillcrest when they offer you extended service plans. They offered me an extended service plan on my VW Polo, said that it would include the next two services as well as the replacement of the cambelt which amounts to around R14000. I accepted the offer and paid for the extended service plan. When we took the vehicle for the next service, they advised us that it was too early to replace the cambelt and that they will replace it with the next service. When we took it for the next service on 13/05/2024 they informed us that it has passed the Kilometres that fell in the service plan and that we had to pay the R14000 for the cambelt. I feel deceived and **** to and will never do business with Alpine VW Hillcrest ever again. I was planning on trading in the Polo and upgrading to a VW Tiguan but Volkswagen will not get any business from me in the future if they treat their clients like this.

I bought the Polo Vivo in June 2021 since early jan /feb 2022 its been showing EPC sign its will jerk and stops in the middle of the road, the battery get drained even when parked before taking the trip I have to ask people to jump star,I was forced to buy new jumper cables because of that,I took it ti Barons Pmb and they just said its was the battery wondering how come because that car was like 18 months old ,mind you it was a brand new car,the problem persisted where the light will come on and disappear,in october 2003 I took it for service and asked Barons to check as it was sometimes vibrating they said the car is fine ,now again in February its jerked and stopped in the middle of the road at night with my self and 3 kids with me same warning signs and I could not even jump start it ,I had to Road side assistance and they towed the car, funny enough the guy who came to tow the vehicle said the same thing people who help me jump start that the autonator is not charging, and could be that the wiring was not done correctly, the car was towed to Barons Pmb as they the closest and they have advised thatbthe main fuse blew and they have changed battery and autonator .that is all done from the brand new car .this problem started when I was on 24000 kms now I am on 37700,but I have already taken it 2 times,i then asked my dealer to intervene by investigating What is the root cause and they failed and responded with the same report I got from barons after they fixed the car, because they only fixing the problem temporarily not looking at the cause,The dealer principal Tyrone Tait I feel he does not care and empathise with his clients,he did not handle my complaint professionally and listened to me failed to do what his client is requesting he has failed to disclosecorrect information fair value, good quality and safety , he has failed to provide reasonably solutions to resolve the matter,I asked them to put it in writing confirming I would not encounter this problem again since he is saying the vehicle is 100% safe I can take it,I would not ask them to intervene if I only wanted the car to be fixed not look at the core cause because seems like Every year I will have to send it for repairs,it starting by them saying it a battery but more damage is caused,i was forced to leave with them as I am not getting the right response and treatment,he seemed to be rude with I dont care attitude ,surely there are other ways he would have dealt my complain.he is now sending threats via email, yet I am following the complains processes,

Hi. I've sent my car in 4 times already for mechanical issues on my vehicle that is only 5 months old with no joy in getting the issue resolved. I walked in the dealership with honest intentions, purchasing my vehicle at its full price, hoping for peace of mind and reliability. Spending over 400k on a vehicle and going through this experience is certainly not up to the standards of Vw. I am now not willing to take the risk on the 5th occasion, only to realize that the issue persists. I travel daily with my family and I cannot afford to drive a vehicle that is not mechanically sound. Please revert with a solution to either replace the vehicle with one that is of similar specs and price or please take the car back as I am still within my rights from a cpa standpoint. Should you not be able to give me the options above, I will escalate to further. I also called in today at 3.30pm asking to speak to a dealer principal for used cars and I was told that he has left for the rest of the afternoon when I asked the receptionist to give me a contact number for the dealer principal because its urgent she refused and when I asked for her name she hungup on me and refused to answer my call 3 times afterwards. These instances really saddens me as this is my 5th Purchase of the VW brand and people who are standing in the frontline damages the VW brand and reputation with their actions. I say these words with a heavy heart having to pay my hard-earned money for this type of service and experience. Hope whoever reads this can treat me the way he/she would like to be treated if they were in my situation.

The receptionist of the business VW alpine hillcrest is the first interaction with the dealership. I was friendly when I walked in and was greeted by a rude lady that was not at all friendly The upside is that the service department was super friendly Yaseen the manager was very accommodating and professional as well as the other workshop staff thank you . The lady at reception should really make the customer feel more welcome .

I went there on 31 August 2022. I went inside and no one came to assist me. I looked at all the cars inside and outside without anyone trying to know what I'm seeking. I ended up leaving the dealership. I am very disappointed.

I drive a Polo TSI 2018 model, silver in colour. I had took my car for repairs to Alpine VW Hillcrest on 04/05/2022 as it had an engine warning light showing. They had diagnosed the car on 29/03/2022, i did not have the money to fix the car at that time and they had told me they needed to replace the G247-Fuel Pressure Sender. The car was brought in to them on 04/05/2022, according to them, they repaired the car, test drove it and it was fine. I paid a total of R4 680.50 including labour. Just before the car could get home, the light came back on. On 05/05/2022, i sent them an email informing them about the light and they responded saying i should bring back the car the next day. On 06/05/2022 i had to take leave off from work so i could take the car back to them with my fuel from Scottburgh to Hillcrest (82km apart). When i got there it was 10h10 am and i was told that it would take the whole day for them to check the car and see what is wrong with it and they offered that a driver would take me to where i needed to go. I agreed to that and asked to be taken to a lady's house i know in Clermont which is 16km away from them. The driver safely took me there. I was foned at 15h45 pm by Mr Yasheen who told me that they had checked out my car and i would need to pay R5500 for it to be fixed, i told him i do not have that kind of money and i will not be paying for a return job (we spoke for 2min 57 sec). He told me he will get back to me, i had to wait in that frustration till 16h07 as he wasn't getting back to me and i decided to phone them back asking for transport to take me back to them as it was already getting late. He asked me what would i be coming to them for because they have no courtesy car to give me unless i want to take my car as it is and go back home with it. I told him i can't be driving the car up and down with a warning light that has a warning light showing it's not safe to drive it and so how should i get to Scotbburgh? He prouldy said "I DON'T KNOW, MAKE THE MEANS" i told him i am not happy with how they are treating me as a customer, he dicided to be silent on me. I went on to explain to him about the important ceremony i had been planning for for months that i need to attend to in Richard's Bay and how much i am in need of transport this weekend and that i desperately need to have a car to use. He again told me "I DON'T KNOW, EITHER YOU TAKE YOUR CAR BACK TO YOU AS IT IS AND USE IT OR YOU MAKE OTHER MEANS" I felt so hurt, so belittled and sabotaged because the first thing that came to my mind was what if something happens to me while i try to make my way back home from the place so late, mind you i am not even familiar with the place and not even sure how to get to the taxis. My sister had to drive at night to fetch me from Clermont, risk her car and life as the area is a very high risk area for vehicles. It was such a traumatic experience for me and the worst day of my life. Justice must be done asap because i am definitely taking this to the media. I have never been so overlooked in my life.... i am drained
