Request for a refund
Good morning. I need some help . I have a complaint with BASA Combined School. My son was expelled from school in the 4th term 2025. January, I received a school fees statement that I must pay R10 000, and my son had a class allocated. I paid R7 440 cash + R2560, which was paid in October, and the child was not in class. The 2 totals add up R10 000 ,which the school is refusing to give me the refund. My child was taken out of class on the 14th of Jan when schools opened for 2026. It's going for a month being taken from pillar to post . The school is not giving me the refund and I need to pay school fees at the new school. I have proof of payment Refund docs were submitted on 15 of January

Poor service and communication
My daughter has been at basa school from grade 1 till now as she is supposed to be in grade 10. Last year we did not get a chance to choose grade 10 subjects with her we were told that will be done in 2026. On the 13.01.2026 we when to school to select the subjects with her only to be told that she has been placed on the waiting list she is not allocated a class. Then the principal was very rude telling the parents that if they are not happy they can take the kids to a new schools. Today was the first day if the 2026 academy year my daughter had to spend the whole outside she is not yet allocated a class.

Refund still not received
I'm not happy at all ,i requested for a refund June 2023 as my kids are no longer attending school there ,i went to school and submitted all the relevant documents that they asked me to submit ,I've been sending emails to their accounts department till today i haven't received my refund ,its now over a year

Refund still not received

Traumatised my 5year old child
My son is being bul**** at this school by both teacher and some learners, he reported that the teacher hits them with a wooden stick on the head and shouts at them. He is literally scared and you can see that his confidences and self esteem has gone down, I cannot wait for the year to end so I can take him out of this school. He’s only 5years and in Grade R🥺😭 when I complained about it, the teacher told him not to share what happens at school at home. I’m even considering home schooling.
