This is the worst rental place in Benoni. They don’t care about their tenants. The management is very ******, the security issue is the problem and they always still clothes from the clothing line. If you report to the agency they will tell you to put in a calendar notice if you are not happy. The water issue is also another problem and they don’t care about solving it. I hate this place

I had a very bad experience with this ****** company please if you're black and looking for rentals don't even consider these Benoni properties. those old ladies will tell you that don't rush them they will make you wait for months thereafter they will tell you the is no available apartment or you don't qualify, landlord is overseas for approvals but when you call the caretaker will tell you they do have available houses.

We first went to the office to apply and since we were applying the premises for a church, two people were responsible for paying the rent and came with the bank statement and all the necessary documents. The two old ladies working rejected the application before checking the documents, they said the church had to be the one paying and have a bank statement with a stable income, she said an NPO that is 6 months old that doesn't make any profit should have income and profit. Later on at the end of the month we opened the bank acc and got all the documents for the church and still stated they the church will not be paying, had an affidavit to say we will be responsible and a debit order will be set out every month. The one lady took all the documents and told us since the church is only 6 months they application might be rejected again. The first time they told us that we should bring the church confirmation of a bank account being open and all the church registrations but a month later we had all those documents and more but now got a different answer. It seemed like they were giving us the run around and demanded things and not looking at them, all they could say is the owner rejected the application. The venue has been vacant for months. We had the R14 000 in hand for the place but still were told we can't afford to rent it and even though two people were legally responsible to pay for it. Benoni properties should hire young people who actually want to give good customers service and not old people who are just dismissive and unhelpful.

Benoni Properties have the worst management systems in place for overseeing their property, I have been staying in Lusitania for less than a year now and have only had problems from day 1 moving into one of their units. I so happen to move into a unit a family member have stayed in 2 years prior and the security gate password to get out have not been changed in over three years so anyone can get out in once in the complex. They broken into multiple units various times and stolen thru windows and management does nothing about it. They have even gotten into my unit with keys and stole a list of thing adding up to R50 000 in damages and again no security measures taken, They have one guard that also does garden work but sleeping somewhere in a dark corner and nowhere to be found. I also have to fight every week for the garden to be attended to and grass to be cut and always find gardener hiding behind a building in the shade doing absolute nothing. And off course none of the gardeners who live in the complex in staff courters who has keys to all units, speak only foreign language as they are all from Mozambique. Do not even think about renting from Benoni Properties as it not safe.
