First we wouldn't have come to Hello Peter if our calls and messages to Benvenuti were not ignored. Responding to the photo booth lady you are correct some of our learners were under the influence but they did not enter the hall with alcohol because it was confiscated, you also correct that I asked to take the photos of our learners for safe keeping but not all learners that took pictures received their photos,we are yet to receive the soft copy, with regards to the food your food was not up to standard, I understand that you want to defend and protect your friends business, when we left we spoke to the Manager of the evening, if anything was broken, the only thing she confirmed that was broken was one glass at the welcoming drinks station, with regards to throwing of chairs in the air that is blunted lie, unfortunately we will go back and forth accusing and painting each other with a bad brush with this and that but bottom of the line is the fact that when trying to contact Benvenuti we were ignored as if we don't matter which is totally not ethical in regards to Business as a customer I am disappointed especially of the fact that when we wanted our breakage fee refund which we were promised we were ignored.

We booked Benvenuti wedding for our 2022 matric dance which was on the 30th of September, we paid over a R100000 thousand only for our kids to eat food that was off, the juice that was served to our kids was the cheapest from the shelf, we were not safisfied at all, on top of that we were supposed to get a refund of a breakage fee, when we call her she doesn't respond to our calls and ignores our messages.

I got married at Benvenuti in April and it was absolutely terrible experience. The waiters and barmen stole food, alcohol, thank you gifts and candles from our function (One of their staff members admitted it to us, before he was fired). A box of food was hidden at our dessert table and then later on removed when staff were confronted by guests. 400 sachets of Capachino went missing. Our hall doors were open when guests arrived. Bride and groom had no chairs to sit on when entering the venue. Our bridesmaids and groomsmen had to light candles themselves before guests entered. All details were discussed in person the Tuesday after the wedding where we received apologies, acknowledgment and were told to come in for a further meeting to discuss, however, now on email, there is no recall of events that occurred. This venue and head staff/ owners were warned of their staff stealing from my wedding- we attended another wedding a few months later at Benvenuti, that I supervised, and the same thing happened, only this time, staff were fired and cops called out. We are yet to receive accountability for our day or a proper apology for the pathetic service received. Blame is simply passed on that “family members took stuff home”- definitely would not have raised my concerns the evening of my wedding with the owners, before everyone left, if the “missing items” were in the cars, going home with us. No further meetings to be had from our side, it is a total waste of time trying to argue our points. Beautiful venue with so much potential but so badly run and the wrong attitude and service. No accountability taken and staff steal, regardless of management being advised or not. Truly disappointing and a terrible end to a once in a lifetime day.

Non compliance to covid regulations. Wedding taking place with more than 150 guests. Venue confirmed they will pay the fine rather than comply.

I recently booked the venue in September 2018 for the wedding to take place on 20 January 2019. I paid the deposit of R20000. Due to family circumstances the wedding had to be moved to a different venue to accommodate a larger capacity. Benvenuti refused to refund my money or not even a partial amount of the money. These people are crooks and won’t ever recommend them to anyone. They will be hearing from my lawyer as you cannot steal people’s money like that!

Their attitude stinks and i have never felt so unwelcome. I was there to view their establishment but felt very unwelcome by Dillan. When i pointed this out, he promptly asked me whether I wanted to work with him or not. That was my cue to go as his attitude was just unbearable. I thank my lucky stars that he showed me his true colours before I could even view their venue. I wish I had read their reviews before wasting my time driving to their establishment.

I recently got married at this venue and I will not recommend this venue to anyone. The venue looks amazing but when they sell the venue to you, they promise the world... all we got was empty promises and BAD ATTITUDE. From day one we were told that they were to contact all our suppliers to set up appointments to meet and finalize arrangements. We were then told on email and in person they never said that, although it came from 3 different people. My husband was challenged on email by the owners son regarding this saying we are lying as they never said that. When we met face to face he had had bad attitude and gave us a halfhearted apology saying “I’m a man and if you come at me I’ll came at you..” On our wedding day we were running around to co-ordinate stuff as we were promised that someone from Management will be in each area coordinating, even making use of 2 way radios. Once again the owners son said he’ll personally be on site to co- ordinate from the arrival area. He was nowhere to be found only showing his face later the evening while packing up to ask how it went. I even had to make a call from the gardens during our photoshoot to ask them to send out the snacks for the guests. On arrival it was found that the arrival drinks were not ready for the guests who would be arriving in less than 10 Minutes. At the guests arrival time my husband asked owner for the drinks as the guest were arriving, to which he responded tapping his finger on the table “ I can’t have the drinks standing outside for 30 minutes”.. He then walked away to only come apologies later, 2 minutes before the start of the ceremony that they had the wrong time. We however submitted all the times to them on numerous occasions. The owner and his wife were even fighting with one of our guest later that evening in the kitchen over a two pin plug which costs R15.00 accusing him of stealing the plug. My husband found the plug later as guests were using the plug to charge their phones. The owners son came to us that evening to ask how evening went and my husband said he isn't happy about certain things to which he responded “ We’ll chat later as I also have something to say to you..”. The attitude of these people Stink, and they should be taught what real customer service is all about!
