I had a terrible experience with Witmart and Smith. They were extremely dishonest, constantly asking for deposits, and even restricting my account, which had over R275,000. I tried reaching out to their customer service, but they were unhelpful and refused to resolve the issue. Thankfully, I got in touch with Mrs. Faina, who took my case seriously. She helped restore my account, and I was able to withdraw everything. I’m now completely done with Witmart and Smith and would advise others to stay away from them. Bitmart has been my supplier of choice in the crypto mining hardware market in South Africa since 2015. The website www.bitmart.co.za and their shop.bitmart.co.za site has a vast array of products and their service is always satisfyingly professional. Highly recommended and trustworthy.

Warranty not honored by seller
I purchased an Antminer S9 from Bitmart. and within a month the machine is broken. I attempted to deal with their repairs department as the machine supposedly carries a 6 month warranty. I was told that I could only speak to their repair technician on the phone on Fridays. After speaking to the technician he was unable to help. and told me that if I wanted to claim anything under my warranty that I should deal directly with their supplier from China. The reason I purchased this machine from a South African company at a much higher price than I could get it directly from China is so that in the event of an issue like this I would have somebody local to support me but my experience has been very disappointing. If you want to buy one of these machines there is no reason to use this company - buy direct from China.

Refund
I want to buy a Ledger Nano s cryptocurrency wallet from them and I wanted to pay with Ethereum. I called them first to enquire if this is doable. They assured me it could be done. The order was eventually canceled because the transaction timed out. I called them and they assured me I would be refunded so the wait started. Now, when I did the original transaction, it took barely an hour for the ethereum to be transferred and confirmed. This refund has been taking days. I will never do business with Bitmart again but I just need my refund now.

<p>I came across this dodgy website while looking for mining rigs. I noticed they are buying products directly from retailers and selling them to customers with disgusting over inflated prices. They are selling products for R70k+ that anyone can purchase directly from the brands for less than half that price. </p> <p>I pointed that out to them on Facebook, and they banned me from their page. Very fishy behaviour. Just warning others to not get ripped off! All of their mining rigs can be bought directly from the manufacturer (Bitmain) for less than half the price that BitMart is selling them for: https://www.bitmain.com/</p> <p> </p> <p>Bitmain = legit mining equipment manufacturer in China that ships all around the world.</p> <p>BitMart = dodgy local version trying to decive South Africans with ridiculous prices.</p>

False Advertising, misleading customers :(
<p>I contacted Jaques 14th of May 2016, we talked about the Antminers and he told me I could make allot of money, I also asked him when the next, better, bigger miner will come out, he promised me that a new model will only be coing out in 5 or 6 months time. I went and bought a S7 for R29 999 thinking I was going to make some money on this. 4 or 5 days later he started advertising a S9 that was 3 x faster than my S7, i was very dissapointed in Jaques, I tried calling him but he was always busy and said that he would cal me back.</p> <p>He prommised me R3600 in bitcoins every month, instead im making R98 per day and using R30 worth of electricity, worst investment of my life</p>
