Blades And Triggers
Based on recent customer reviews, Blades And Triggers receives a sharply divided reception from its customer base. Standout praise centres on individual sales staff who go the extra mile, with customers consistently mentioning helpful online assistance, swift delivery, and personal commitment to resolving issues. However, a recurring theme on the negative side involves faulty or damaged products, poor after-sales communication, disputed warranty claims, and frustrating in-store repair experiences. Several customers describe feeling dismissed by management, suggesting that service quality varies significantly depending on which staff member or branch handles the interaction.

I bought a Ka-Bar Kukri style knife from the Blades and Triggers online store.I received my purchase on 2026-05-06. On taking my purchase out of the packaging my dismay started. The knife was not in it's original packaging for starters.Futhermore the one nylon retention strap is frayed how this came about I can only speculate. There is also a small chip in the blade and there also seems to be slight surface rust on the cutting edge. The reason thus for me to turn to this platform is that I do not have any reason to believe that Blades and Triggers actually deals in good faith with their customers. I took above mentioned knife in in place of a Mantis knife. The first model of the Mantis they offered me was in a condition that left much to be desired,I don't know how they could even offer it to a customer. The manager then stepped in and informed me that he found another of the same model and according to him the box only had a few scratches.I declined it and requested a refund. I after this decided to take the aforementioned Ka-Bar knife I also insisted to pay in the difference in price although Blades and Triggers wanted to waive it. With my previous interaction with Blades and Triggers a person would think that they would of realised what my preferences are. However here they sell a product to me that is not in it's original packaging and in a less than ideal condition without even discussing or approaching me about it. So I sadly come to the conclusions that Blades and Triggers do not act in good faith as said.I do not know how they could of in the first place of offered me the unboxed and damaged Mantis knife ,then yes they did offer me the same model of Mantis that I declined and then send me this Ka-Bar that is less than ideal.I do not know how they can do this with any customer. Needless to say this has left a bitter taste in my mouth and in doubt whether I should even bother to persue this matter with Blades and Triggers. I now come to the conclusion that I should of rather taken my refund and shopped somewhere else. For the foreseeable future I cannot see myself doing business with Blades and Triggers nor recommend or endorse them Gerhard Viljoen.

I bought a Yong Heng compressor from them on 29 August 2025. Last week it literally just "blew up". Thankfully not the high-pressure side. I reached out to enquire about the warrantee and at first, I got very vague and veiled responses. Mentions of "physical damage" etc. Basically, I was indirectly accused of dropping the compressor. I took it to the shop on Friday 27 February 2026. The assistant said that he had never seen anything like that happen and assured me that he would get the problem sorted, and push for a replacement rather than a repair. Also offered to even lend me his personal compressor if it wasn't sorted out by the weekend of the 7th. On Thursday the 5th of March I sent him messages, which was not even read. So, on Thursday evening I sent a message to his phone and the shop's WhatsApp number. No reply from manager/owner, but the salesman reached out asking for time to sort it out and talk to "them". Late last year I bought a shop demo rifle from them on clearance. Had some issues and assumed it was not under any warrantee. So, I tinkered with it myself. When I asked for parts list etc. they offered to repair it, but I declined because I had tinkered myself. I would have thought that would have shown them that I would not dishonestly claim a warrantee on the compressor. Unfortunately, I do not think the POPIA act allows me to post message screen grabs. Think carefully, and rather search around, there are plenty of air gun stores with more variety, better value, and better pricing.

I bought a Hike & Strike from them. The item malfunctioned and spat flames out the front and then stopped working. Several calls and written communication with them where they promise to get back to me yet they don't. Product faulty and service terrible.

Took a pellet gun magazine to Clearwater Mall store them to repair a valve and had to pay a booking fee. After 6 weeks and no word from them, I tried calling the store. No answer. Couldn't leave message, the mailbox was full. I then sent an e-mail. No response. At week 7, I went to the store. Nothing had been done yet. No apologies. They promised I would hear from them within the week. Heard nothing. Went back during week 9. Still nothing done, no apologies. They quoted me R630 and asked if they can go ahead with the repairs. I confirmed. Another promise. About 3 days later, I receive a WhatsApp from Luqmaan Shaik with a message saying the part is in for repair and the fee is R885. I asked why the sudden change in amount, the response is the valve had to be replaced (as well). I responded that was the issue from the start and they quoted me R630, so how does it suddenly become 40% more? He said it includes labour and parts. Well, I thought replacing a valve means parts, and the act of replacing means labour, and they quoted me on it already??! No response. I asked for my magazine to be returned to me. I picked it up from the store. They handed it back to me at the store, with no apology, even though I expressed my displeasure. They did not offer me a refund on my booking fee that turned out to be useless. I told them I would post a review, and there was no reaction. If I didn't know any better, I would think they have (inefficient) robots working for them.

I had recently made a purchase at the gateway branch and I was initially quite happy with the experience, until my gas gun started leaking gas so I took it in for a service at the shop. After a few weeks of very little to no feedback, I followed up and they had said that the end cap ( the part that was faulty) was being repaired at the warehouse. Once I got confirmation weeks later after the initial follow up, that the gun was ready to be collected, I went into store to find that the gun was scratched and scuffed with paint chipping and denting mainly the part taken in for a service. I queried it and asked why this is with the branch manager Awan, and he simply said that it was brought in like that to which I politely disagreed. He exclaimed that it was my negligence and that he is not responsible. I asked him to phone the warehouse and ask for a photo of what it looked like when it had arrived there. He phoned them and asked and immediately after that phone call, he threw his hands in the air in my face and said; " you know what! its pointless arguing with you and going back and fourth about this" He then asked one of the assistants to get a new gas gun from behind the counter he then took off the end cap and put it on my gun and said; "Its not worth it just take it and go" and pointed to the door, basically telling me to leave. I am disgusted with the customer service and manners of this manager. And I will never shop at your establishment ever again. that is no way to treat any customer especially a customer who had spent close to 4000 rand there. I highly advise that something be done about it and that no one should shop there given that is how they treat paying customers

Good afternoon. I would just like to take the opportunity to praise your staff and your company Blades and Triggers. I had the pleasure of dealing with Mr Brett Steyn via your online sales. What a fantastic experience. From the first call to the return of a faulty purchase. He went above and beyond to help. I bought a Snowpeak GR1250 break barrel.22 rifle but found it to be very inconsistent in the placement of shots. I found that the magazine was not sealing properly thereby causing the problem. When I contacted Brett via WhatsApp on the Sunday , I received the gr1250 on the Friday , not expecting him to reply but just wanted to let him know I'd be contacting him on the Monday. He not only rep**** to my message but immediately said he would replace the gun. When I expressed that I would like to upgrade to a PCP rifle he did everything in his power to make it happen. He contacted me on the Tuesday I told him which PCP rifle I wanted to get and the pump , also asked for an extra magazine for another rifle. No problem. He sent me the price difference which I was happy with. I paid for it and by the end of the week I had the new gun , pump and spares. NOTHING was too much trouble for him. When I asked how to get the faulty rifle back to him. He organised a courier. This gentleman is a credit to himself and your company. I will definitely be buying anything else I need for my PCP's from him . If anyone needs any sporting pellet gun PCP related equipment I can only with the highest confidence recommend that you get hold of Blades and triggers online. On 082 725 8035 and ask for Brett. He'll sort you out. Bruce Warner (A very happy customer).
