I bought a Calgan set at Rochester. I have a complaint about the Hamilton set. Both parties is not bothered about my complaints. I paid cash for it. Now I'm sitting with a set I'm unhappy with. The problem is a manufacturing problem. Spare yourself the frustration and don't buy from Rochester and don't buy Calgan. This is been going on for months.

Subject: Complaint Regarding Poor Service and Broken Calgan Recliner Lounge Set I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service I have received from House and Home Cape Gate in connection with my recent experience regarding the Calgan Recliner lounge set purchased from your store less than a year ago. My frustration stems from the fact that after encountering issues with the Calgan Recliner lounge set, I reached out to your staff, specifically Morne, Kasie and Sam, who informed me that the supplier had approved a complete replacement of the set. While I appreciated the initial resolution, my dissatisfaction escalated when I was informed that I needed to choose another lounge set due to the unavailability of stock for the one originally purchased. This situation is highly inconvenient, and I find it unacceptable that, as a customer, I am being asked to bear the burden of House and Home Cape Gate's inability to provide a timely replacement. Furthermore, I was informed that an alternative color is available, but I would be required to pay the difference. This additional financial demand is both unexpected and unjust, considering the circumstances surrounding the initial purchase and the subsequent defects in the product. Compounding my frustration is the realization that the remainder of my warranty period is running out. This leaves me in a precarious situation where, without a suitable replacement and given the broken state of the Calgan Recliner lounge set, I will soon be left with a non-functional furniture set and no warranty coverage. I urge House and Home Cape Gate to rectify this matter promptly. I expect a resolution that does not place the financial burden on me, the customer, for an issue that is clearly the result of a product defect. As a loyal customer, I trust that House and Home Cape Gate values its customers and will take the necessary steps to rectify this situation promptly. Had a set that was peeling recliners broke, chairs were not stable and that was not even 3 years, was replaces looked like rejects, was returned and replaced again with inferior quality furniture again. A third set was suppose to arrive at midday on Friday the 8 June 2018, at 17H00 no delivery, the company closes at 3, what pathetic service and would not recommend this company and furniture to anyone. We asked for the owners email address but they will not give this out.

I called calgan around 9am today notifying them tomorrow i was fetching my goods. I was told they will be closed by 3pm. I asked if iI could come today even though i didn't have my laybey receipt. GERALD DEMBO the manager said it's fine. I asked about their delivery the salesperson said they are outsourcing it so I said I will bring mine around 3pm. Arrived there at 3:30pm my payment was processed then GERALD told me my goods were elsewhere he will fetch them tomorrow. I told him that my transport was there already and I paid R500 for delivery. He said it's not his problem there's nothing he can do for me I will just have to pay twice. I told him that it was unfair to me. He said he doesn't care coz he's just an employee and i was supposed to give them 72hours notice. I told him that the contract said the goods will be made available to me for collection immediately after the balance has been settled, I notified them 6hours prior and he's the one who said i can come today. He just left me standing there till closing time. I had to leave found him outside smoking he ignored me. He is the worst manager ever will never refer anyone there again. POOR SERVICE

I bought a leather upper lounge suite from House and Home Gateway in Feb 2014. Within the first few months of purchase the lounge suite began to tear and come apart. I lodged the complaint with House & Home which they escalated to Calgan. The lounge suite was taken to Calgan Jhb for repairs but was returned over a month later in the same condition. They refused to repair even though it was under warranty. House & Home shifted accountability to Calgan. The seat on tge 2 seater cavdd in and broke, stitches openened up, seats are torn. I spent thousands of rands on this lounge suite which is so badly damaged due to the poor quality of material used. Calgan refuses to replace this product. I have emailed them and to date haven't had a response. It seems that Calgan is big on profit and have no interest in customer satisfaction or their integrity. I have failed in my attempts to get tge lounge suite replaced. I sincerely hope my complaint is attended to with a positive outcome.

Good day <br> <br> I bought a lounge suite at House and Home Mayville 2014 in June / July. The lounge suite is falling apart and since October 2014 I am struggling with them to fix it properly. They will pick it up fix it and deliver it BUT just once again the same problems accrue. In May 2015 once again I report the same problems once again it has been pick up and they said they will repair it is over a month now and I am still sitting without out the lounge suite as per House and Home it has not been repaired yet and I must wait this is unacceptable. I need to pay it each month but don't have the use of it this is not fair. And they don't care how many times is this still going to happen, they don't want to replace the bad quality and it seems like they can't repair the bad quality either.

AFter having a lounge suite being replaced 5 times by Furniture City, Calgan Lounge will still not even budge about helping to solve an issue of a broken lounge suite, THEIR bad workmanship but blame Furniture City. Im sick of bad attitudes in SA
