Ordered mutton briyani and received only yellow rice. I called the shop and they dropped my phone twice, so I sent pictures of the food on WhatsApp but only received blueticks. This Cane cutters is situated on Edwin Swales. Really shocked.....

I purchased a mutton bunny on 12th Dec 2024, it was cold. Today when I placed my order for a mutton breyani, I told them to please ensure the food a heated up properly before I collect. After I collected the breyani, the food was cold. The manager Shane Naidoo has no manners, and extremely unprofessional, he does not even apologize for the bad service, instead he sarcasticly asks me just how hot I expect the food too be. For out of towners like myself, give place a miss.

I purchased a mutton bunny on 12th Dec 2024, it was cold. Today when I placed my order for a mutton breyani, I told them to please ensure the food a heated up properly before I collect. I purchased a meal from Canecutters in Umhlanga for R450 today, and I must say it was a very disappointing experience. The food quality did not meet expectations at all—it tasted stale, lacked flavour, and was nowhere near what I anticipated for the price. The portions were small, and it felt like little attention was paid to presentation or taste. To make matters worse, when I raised my concerns with the branch manager, Shane naidoo, I was met with a shocking lack of professionalism. Their attitude was dismissive and outright rude, showing no interest in addressing my complaint or even listening. While I was trying to explain my issue, the manager actually hung up on me. When I attempted to call back, they refused to answer, leaving me feeling completely brushed off and disrespected. For the cost, I expected far better quality and a much higher standard of customer service. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning to this branch or recommending it to others. Absolutely disgusted

Cane cutters has the most unprofessional, rude & arrogant managers. I have ordered samp and mutton & it was not even completely done. The samp was hard. Growing up in an Indian household, I know exactly what it was supposed to feel and taste like. The manager at the umhlanga caltex garage branch is absolutely pathetic. Claims to be a chef yet he has no respect for customers (who forms the basis of his job). Instead of apologizing and attempting to redeem the service provided, he prefers to demean the customer. His tone was harsh and condescending. He refused to understand that I was unhappy with the food. He rather wanted to get into a debate with me regarding the quality of the food. Will never visit cane cutters again!

I bought a 1/4 bonless mutton bunny for R110. And let me say i had 4 small peaces of mutton prob the size of pebbles and 1 potatoe if that big of a golf ball the rest was just gravy then to find out 1/3 of the bunny was bread robbing people with the price i paid i will never ever buy there again

I had an extremely frustrating experience with Brenda at this establishment. After placing an order over the phone and being told it would be ready in 45 minutes, I arrived at the store only to be informed that they had no record of my order. Brenda's dismissive attitude and refusal to take responsibility for the mistake were incredibly frustrating. Instead of offering a solution, she simply suggested I wait another 45 minutes for a new order. Her lack of professionalism and customer service skills made this interaction one of the worst I've had. Avoid dealing with Brenda if you can help it.
