They say the third time lucky...its not true. Neither is a CAT with nine lives. I've gone through three of them in the past two years, software issues CAT can't even repair but yet they are keeping it on the market. I've unboxed the 3rd one yesterday and today it has stopped working. Please do not waste your hard earned money on that ****. I think they should continue building digger loaders and stay away from electronics. I highly recommend a device from Rugged SA. I have also informed them that I'll be doing this every available platform all the way to the ombudsman until this matter is sorted. I'm a very patient man. BTW they don't deserve any stars.

So I decided to get my husband a new CAT S31 phone through FNB, after 3 days the first device's speaker stopped working, fair enough Digital Planet exchanged the unit, after a few months, speaker does the same thing and the phones camera also packing up, once again the phone has been picked up and taken in to be repaired, now the battery is swelling up, tried calling CAT SA for assistance, no feedback, sent an online request no feedback and not to mention the false advertising on their site regarding the screens!

I recently renewed my contract with MTN and took delivery of a CAT S31 Dumbphone ( It is definitely not smart). I asked the salesperson for a 32G Phone. There is nowhere on the packaging that this phone only has 16G. This phone is difficult to use and is extremely slow. I would not recommend a CAT phone to anybody. The S31 is a hunk of junk.

Cat phones really aren't as tough and rugged as advertised. Mine fell half a meter and the screen is broken into pieces. This after the speaker kept on breaking. Now I got a R1699 quote from vodacom who sold me this **** fone that froze very often, to fix a screen that is according to CAT advertising 'drop proof'. I feel ripped off. This S31 isn't nearly what it has been advertised to be

I recently contacted Cat Phones to get my supposedly drop proof s60 sent in for repair, the screen shattered after a drop of no more than 0.6m. so much for the 1.8m they boast about. of course this happens 16 days before the warranty expires. i contact the support which now has become apparent in delaying the process so the warranty expires. after several emails i sent through all required docs on th 18/10/2019. another delayed returns on the 21/10/2019 saying the repair centre has been notified and it will take 5-7 days to reach the facility once collected. I am still waiting to be contacted to arrange collection. 2 I dont understand how it takes so long to reach such a centre. I have had several faulty products from takelot.com, and they artrive within 1 day and the parcel is back at their facility within 2. Under point 12 of cat phones warranty i have notified support and created a case before the expiration of the warranty. To then send a response saying the service centre will contact me to pickup and any repairs outside the warranty will be at my costr and subject to my approval i find astounding. is this the service of cat phones in SA? deliberate delay ? i think so case ID 00807395
