I went to cedar square today 12 Feb at around 12:30 . After having lunch with my 4 kiddies and hubby we are about to leave the parking lot where one pays for parking and the kid lady at the car wash sees that we are struggling as the machine was not taking the card- and eventually it works and payment of R10 is approved - the lady sees this and calls the help desk for us and no one assists. Eventually one of the security comes out and here we have been waiting for 20 Minute at least - the lady tells him to assist us as we can’t come out and payment made . The security has the nerve to tell us that we need to lay again !!! We tel him that we have paid already and now we have been here for 15 minutes just trying to come out of cedar square after having lunch and now struggling to coke Out though payment made - another car next to us had also struggled . He continues to argue with us that we need to pay and we are telling him we are not paying again ! He has the nerve to not listen to the car wash lady who confirms that payment was made he just needs to open. I a with 4 kids the last being 2 years old who is now agitated of sitting in car and this security is not letting us out! Eventually the help desk finally open for us! What type of serve is this! I come to cedar all the time but this service is the worst I have seen ! Arguing with a customer with 4 kids who has been there for nearly two hours and you have received confirmation that we paid! Not coming to this place again ! I will drive somewhere else to buy stuff and go to a restaurant Not this rubbish!

A new gin bar opened up at Cedar Square a few months ago on the side that overlooks the purely residential area. The music is so loud and causes a massive disturbance to the surrounding neighborhood, completely breaking the municipal by-laws. When I first complained to the owner of the bar and the Centre management they promised they would sort it out. However this has been going on for months and the Centre management (Accelerate Property) and the owner of the bar have just stopped responding to any mails, messages or communications. They have no respect for the neighborhood around them and are only concerned with making money with no consideration to those they affect.

Last week my car go broken into at Cedar Square shopping center at approximately 5:25am, where my laptop bag with all its contents were stolen. When realizing what had happened, I went to center security for assistance. When I asked security to review the footage ( 4:45am - 7am) approximate time as I was at gym, they refused to. I was told that I had to go to the police station to get a case number first. I never asked to see the footage, all that I asked was for the footage to be reviewed to see (a) what happened (b) to see perhaps if the perpetrator/s are still on the property. I emphasized this to the security, however they still refused. When I took it up with Cedar Square center management also known as Accelerate Property Fund, I was told that that was not the procedure and that they were willing to assist. I was finally shown the footage where it clearly shows that my car was broken into, and that no center security was present. The head of security, who I wont name promised me a copy of the footage, and never came back to me. I have email her, as well as tired calling her, yet she has not replied. Further more I spoke to a member of snr management at Accelerate about what transpired, and since that call he has not returned any of my calls. The reason why I am brining this to you attention is. 1. Car breakings at Cedar Square shopping center are on the increase, yet Accelerate has done nothing about it. ( they can say they invested R 2mil in security upgrades) which clearly dont help. 2. If your car were to be broken into or stolen you will receive no support / assistance from Accelerate. I understand that it is not the shopping center's fault that my car got broken into ( these are the times we live in), but its the manner in with this was dealt with is the problem However the manner in how Accelerate dealt with the situation is shocking, and I dont want to happen to me, to happen to someone else.
