Usually very happy to shop at Checkers Kolonnade. But on Sunday 01 February 2026 I was not happy with service received from packers at till point and when I showed them I have a tight to have my groceries packed by a Checkers employee they discussed me thinking I do not understand the African language they spoke People especially when you work with the public directly must stop assuming a person does not know any African language because of their skin colour and the language they speak at the time. Strangely it was not busy at the time yet others could look at us having to pack our groceries ourselves, resting on their arms with buns in the air.

I went in to buy a Sheraton king size duvet cover set. The prices I saw was R499 and R699. I took the king size I was looking for. When I pay it was R799. I asked why it was a different price from what I saw. The cashier went and took another bedding who maas R499. I paid for mine. Before i left, she called the floor assistant to come and fix the prices as they were wrong. I asked to pay mine for the price I saw. The called a manager who told me that it was my respite check the bar code of the iterm I want to buy. I felt that it was unfair to pay the price that was not displayed. I demanded that they refund me the difference as it was their fault to display wrong things and they refused

I recently bought a sealed pack of IMBO popcorn seeds from Checkers Kolonnade, only to notice insects moving inside before even opening it. When I returned it to the store, the staff didn’t seem shocked or even question it, as if this wasn’t the first time. This raises serious concerns about their quality control and hygiene standards. I will be escalating this matter and taking it to social media to spread awareness. Customers deserve better, and Checkers needs to take accountability for their product safety!

I recently bought a sealed pack of IMBO popcorn seeds from Checkers Kolonnade, only to notice insects moving inside before even opening it. When I returned it to the store, the staff didn’t seem shocked or even question it, as if this wasn’t the first time. This raises serious concerns about their quality control and hygiene standards. I will be escalating this matter and taking it to social media to spread awareness. Customers deserve better, and Checkers needs to take accountability for their product safety!

Went on get cash , did everything at the till, places my pin number then the lady at till 13 said she needs autherisation....guess what stood from about 4 pm till 4h30pm and no managers ,no supervision in store... Had to cancel the transaction......due to no managers found in the store. No supervisors

Had the worst customer service. On the 26 August I went to do my monthly grocery at the store,when it was my turn to be assisted I greeted the cashier (Keikantseng Mabusela) who then didn’t even acknowledge me.She was busy in conversation with her parker,making all sort of bad comments about management infront of me.I then asked for cash back but she didn’t respond again,me being frustrated with her attitude I asked if she heard me and she said yes with attitude. She asked me to insert my card for payment,but I noticed that some of my staff were left behind.When I asked why she didn’t till then ,she answered again with attitude,and I code”gadi till sesi ke etseng nna”meaning “ she can’t till them because they not scanning.I then told her I’m not leaving with my Epimex soap,and it’s not my problem they not scanning. If you guys look at the camera,she left me there after her cash up even after telling her I’m not leaving without my items.She told me to call the manager myself and walked out on me. Keikantseng really need to be trained again so that she can understand what is customer service.Its simple ,if she’s tired of serving us she must just quit her Job ,also I demand an apology from her because I feel so disrespected.Especially the way I started with my respect Her manager Seun gave me the best service,after he stepped in.unfortunately he is not the one who is on floor everyday,Ms Mabusela is the face of the store she really needs training.

Unhappy customer, I went to checkers hyper in Montana on the 21aug2024 to buy panado syrup(cherckers brand) and it was the second one, when I walk out the store I check the expired date it was expired on 01 2024, the first bottle I bought on the 7th same month and my son finish the first bottle, I spoke to the manager on the phone explain the situation and he said I must come, when I went to the store I spoke to Shaun he said Charles sent him because his in the meeting, then I explained again to Shaun what happened, so I told him this is the second bottle and I told him my son is not better that is why i buy another bottle one, what if that bottle I bought the first is also expired what now..., I told Shaun that I'm going to take my done to the Doctor then will find the clarity, He said to me your Doctor must also do some test, fill the necessary forms and the company lawyers will check...I was feeling threatened thecway he said or because I am a young black lady. I refund the medicine and left. On my way to work i called their head office in centurion i spoke to the receptionist she transferred the call to the second person i explained again she said let me transfer to the relevant person, i spoke to an Indian lady the time she said she want to transfer the call again i got angry and tell her to find the right person to talk to she took my details and I never had anything from her/them that's very poor customer service . If i could find the stock that is expired 7 months ago on the shelf is possible that my Son could drink an expired medicine. Some people didn't do their job and is not my fault and my son cannot take the fall. I WANT CHECKERS MONTANA TO FIX THIS 😩
