ORTamboAGM@anewhotels.co.za I was at your O.R Tambo Anew Cielo on the 9th of March. When paying the bill, your waiter swiped my card twice, claiming that there was an error with the speed point machine when he swiped the card the first time. To my surprise, I received two different notifications from the bank confirming that two different transactions of the same amount went off my account. I was told by Nontobeko that my money will be refunded within 7 days. On day number 8, I phoned in to follow up. She then requested that I either forward her my bank card number and my card's CVV number, or I come in at the branch to collect the cash. I declined both requests because I won't be driving over 100km to collect money which was ****** from me. How does it make sense to spend R600 on petrol to collect R600 cash?. Never have I heard that a bank card number and a CVV number is required to process a refund. All you need is my proof of banking details of which I already sent. The banking details were confirmed and she told me that the refund will be processed with 24 hours. A day lapsed and still there was no refund. I followed up on day number 10, and now I'm being asked to send in my bank statement and ID copy. For what because you have my proof of banking details? Since you seem to be technologically challenged, take that R600 cash which you wanted me to come and collect and deposit it into my account at an ATM. I can't be chasing after you for my money. You messed up and now you are inconveniencing me. I'm not going to wait for 14 days. Nontobeko confirmed that both the transactions are reflecting in your account, so I want my money back. Bank transfers don't take 14 days. This is nonsense. I want my money back.

WORST IN THE EASTRAND!! I was there with my friend yesterday. Our day was ruined!! 😡 1 It took the waiters 1H30mins to serve us 2. I asked the other waitress to come and serve me, she said she can’t because she’s knocking off. 45 mins later she was still wearing uniform and serving other people. 3. when we asked about the food, two of them didn’t know some of the food on the menu..?? 4. When we wanted to other ****tails, they said they’re unavailable because the dishes are dirty?? 5. I asked the waiter why their service is so bad, he said they’re short staffed, please make it make sense how you're short staffed in this high unemployment state? 6. I asked for pizza(the other waiter said it’s out of stock?? The other one said y’all don’t have it as in you guys don’t sell it?) 7. The mixed grill came with no side plates, we were eating off the tray! 8. We took bites of every type of meat that was on the tray and we couldn’t eat them at all, they were HORRIBLE and not eatable at all. The other meat was well done the other was medium rare. Everything tasted bad except the fries. I’m still angry!! 9. When we complained the other lady wanted to compensate us by remaking the food. Lol she asked them to recook the same ones we were eating. What a joke!! 10. I asked for the manager or a supervisor they said all the bosses are off?? Take us serious please?? I called the number yall put on Google numerous times and no one picked!! The lady said i must call the other number?? Which other number?? How am I supposed to know which one cos its not online?? 11. I left without paying, cos we didn’t eat the food, i left my number with them to call me and address the problem if there is!! 12. A lot of people left after waiting for long cos no one was serving them! The other lady was there with her friends to celebrate her birthday, they also left without being served, She was so hurt cos she trusted you guys and wanted to share her special day with y’all. Y’all are so DISAPPOINTING!! This is not even half of what I experienced! Theres more, i was so disappointed yesterday!! I HAVE PICTURES AND VIDEOS TO SUPPORT THIS!

Cielo has literally fallen apart. Today, my husband and I were served by a drunk waiter who couldn’t even comprehend what we wanted (because he was clearly drunk) Also, we got there to find that it was a no cash zone which was very upsetting that we couldn’t be accommodated in this. (I mean your five star restaurants even go out of their way to make a plan for cash users). Never going back there again. I hope it closes down.

Terrible experience. Waited 45 minutes to get a menu and then 3 and a half hours to be served after ordering our food. Staff and managers are rude and don't attend to clients timeously. Wosrt experience ever. I will definitely not visit this place again

This place is utterly pathetic. The most useless experience I have ever had. The waitresses are pathetic. Forgetting orders left and right. I had to go and get my own drink from the bar TWICE. We waited over an hour and a half for 2 burgers and a pasta. Some people around us waited over 45min just to order. This place just needs to close down

Beautiful views, aesthetically appealing but the service??? The Service??? Appalling to say the least!! We had a staff party and got only ONE waiter to assist the large group we had which made no sense. The waiting time was so long for drinks and food and when the food got there, it was cold, dry and bland. I’m convinced that food was from the day before. The dessert then topped it, the waffle and the brownie were super dry, maybe from the day before too!! That place looks stunning but what’s the use of having nice pictures and running stomachs from food that comes from Lord knows which day???

Beautiful restaurant with a beautiful view food not that enticing but now my issue is that they have included the 10percent tip on the bill and to my understanding a tip is rated on the service offered n shouldn't be an obligation. I wonder if its even legal to force us to tip 10percent regardless. It seems like now we are paying for the staff they hired. I think it's unfair n that tips shouldn't be compulsory. U get bad service n u have to 10percent tip. I doubt I'll ever go there. I'm disappointed. And if it was within the law all restaurants would be doing that but Ceilo and Piato they are just ****s of restaurants.
